Transformers legends Simon Furman and Geoff Senior have put their collective pens and pencils together to produce the first Transformers comic from Titan Publishing to be made available on the iPhone.
What’s more, the iPhone Transformers comic is completely FREE to download and is a taster comic for bigger and better things to come. Titan used the free taster tactic on previous iPhone comics for Shaun the Sheep and Wallace and Gromit.

Simon Furman commented about the new iPhone comic:

If you enjoy the free Transformers comic on your iPhone, there’s more where that came from Titan over the next few weeks. They can be purchased from the App stores for UK and Ireland.
This puts Titan in direct competition with IDW Publishing, as they already have Transformers comics available for the iPhone.
If you haven’t bought the original 2007 Michael Bay Transformers movie on DVD yet (shame on you) then Play.com are advertising the DVD for just £2.99 as their deal of the day today.
This is the cheapest the movie has ever been available, and it’s for the 2 Disc version!
The main theme to the new Transformers movie, Transformers Revenge of the Fallen, is being released shortly and the music video will be premiered even sooner. The band have a making of video on their MySpace page that shows the special effects being deployed in the video for the single, and even shows some footage from Transformers 2.
The video is being directed by Joe Hahn and looks pretty awesome. The clowning around on wires looks a lot of fun as well!
When we first heard this we have to admit, we thought it was a hoax story, or someone had got the wrong end of the stick. But now, rock legend (at least to Transformers fans) Stan Bush has re-recorded a version of the orginal 1986 Transformers Movie’s anthem ‘The Touch’ in the hope that it will be used in the new Transformers sequel, Transformers Revenge of the Fallen.
Fans of the original will know just how inspiring The Touch can be and how it always reminds them of Optimus Prime cutting a swathe through Decepticons. This new, updated, version is very different and even features a rap, but in a good way. Have a watch of the video, which features clips from both Michael Bay Transformers movies, and see what you think.

This advert is currently running in the UK, featuring a robot walking down the streets of New York, dancing to the tune of Staying Alive, before Transforming into a Citroen car.
I don’t think this as good as the Ice Skating robot that was on the Citroen advert before the Transformers movie came out, but it’s still worth a watch.
I Love Toys was a series of programs by the BBC charting the toys of Eighties. Transformers featured on the I Love Toys 1984. This short video file features interviews with Transformers comic writer Simon Furman and Optimus Prime himself Peter Cullen.
