S250 has posted the animation model sheet for Brawn, who it appears will be part of the Transformers: Animated universe. As you can see from the image, he shares some of the same features as his G! name-sake.
Derrick J. Wyatt has posted some new art on his blog, this time of Transformers: Animated human character, The Wraith.
The Wraith has only made one appearance so far, in IDW’s comic series, Transformers: Animated The Arrival #2.
Confirmation is a brilliant thing. It puts needless rumours in their place. The good news today is that Transformers: Animated has officially been picked up for another 13 episodes by Cartoon Network.
Season 3 will start airing in Spring 2009, and will probably finish just before the Revenge of the Fallen premieres.
Entertainment Rights again will be selling the show rights to international broadcasters, with many already signing up for more Transformers goodness.

The chins are so big that they sometimes impeed the transformation sequence. Chin On indeed!
Derrick J. Wyatt has posted some more interesting comments to do with the Transformers: Animated universe.He discusses how because of Marty Isenberg’s involved with the cartoon, IDW comic and Animated Game coming later this month, it helps expand the Animated universe and make everything more manageable.
His last comment is of particular interest to G1 fans:
There are absolutely TONS of G1 concepts that are practically begging to be in Animated. Maybe some of them will get to.
Derrick Wyatt has responed to the leaked sketches of Animated Rodimus, Blackout, Spittor and Strika with a few more details. Strika is referred to as “General Strika”, and has made him very happy and the design for Spittor is from the design by Don Figueroa of Spittor pre-beast mode, as shown in the IDW Beast Wars comics.
S250 has provide some new information for the upcoming season of Transformers: Animated with some character design sketches. The four pictures all show new characters, consisting of Rodimus, Strika, Blackout and Spittor.




The Nordic TransFans Association have received news from Hasbro Nordic that Transformers: Animated will be airing on MTV3 in Finland. There are no details of when, but the news that the show is ready to air means it can’t be too far away.
There is also no information on whether other Nordic countries will air the show.
YTV have followed Cartoon Network and will be airing the season 2 finale of Transformers: Animated, A Bridge Too Close, as an hour special. However, with YTV being a week ahead of Cartoon Network, the finale will air this Saturday (28th June), at 11:00am.
This will mark the first time the episodes have aired in English, will CN airing them on 5th July and NickToons at some point afterwards.
