Thanks to Overload on the forums for pointing this one out - Play.Com now have the first RiD DVD volume up for pre-order. Retails at £12.99, with Play’s discount, it’s only £9.99. Extras listed are character profiles and bloopers, but more are sure to come. Contains the first eight episodes of the series. Check it out HERE.

The latest word on July’s first DVD release of “Robots in Disguise” is that it’s being bumped up from a single-disc release to two discs, and will contain the first eight episodes of the series, rather than just the first five.

As announced by Daz on the forums a little while ago, “Transformers Robots in Disguise” is coming to DVD courtesy of UK company Maximum Entertainment. And now, we’ve got the goods on the first release - set for July 26th, the first disc will contain the first five episodes of the series, with another release set for October. Boxsets are a possibility in the future.

We just received this news from ActionFigureXpress concerning the RID Tin Collection series. We saw these babies at the Toy Fair in Excel and they’re basically the mini asortment RID toys but with collectible tins.

Despite the recent news from Maximum Entertainment’s Colin Lomax than the six-disc complete boxset for “Transformers Robots in Disguise” had been cancelled, Play.Com are reporting that they have it in stock.

TF.Net forum member Casperuk has reported that his copy has been dispatched, so when he receives it I guess we’ll be able to make heads or tails of all this!

September is shaping up to be month of the year for UK Transformers fans, even better than lest years best month, May 2004 (AA2004, Atari’s Transformers game, Season 2 Part 2 DVD from Metrodome, Energon episode 1 preview airing & wave 1 of Energon toys released, wow).

Maximum Entertainment have released the second half of Transformers Robots In Disguise on DVD, today, in the UK. The set consists of episodes 21-39 and some character profiles.
