Mysteriously transported back to their home planet of Cybertron, with no memory of how or why they are there, the Maximals find themselves pitched in a life-or-death battle with the evil Vehicons, ruthless minions of the Decepticon Megatron. To coincide with the theatrical, live-action release of Transformers Sony Pictures Home Entertainment presents the animated Transformers Beast Machines, available to own on DVD from 16th July 2007.

Transformers Beast Machines sees the innocent Maximals awaken on their home planet of Cybertron with no memory of how or why they are there. However, instead of being greeted by their own kind, the robotic creatures find themselves pitched in a life-or-death battle with the evil Veicons, ruthless and mindless creatures by the Decepticon Megatron. Another company is building on the Transformers movie hype machine, this time it is Sony Pictures Home Entertainment who are releasing Beast Machines in the UK (and most likely the rest of Europe).

They plan on releasing the first season of Beast Machines on DVD, which consists of 13 episodes over 2 discs. These 2 discs can either be bought separately or as a complete package which works out as the cheaper option if you go with Play.com.

According to Sony’s Official Listings, Volume 1 is due for release on 16th July whilst Volume 2 is coming out on 15th October. However, Play.com lists all 3 sets out on 16th july.
