With all the news in San Deigo, here’s some news closer to home. Argos’s new catalogue came out on Saturday and with it lots of new figures for the UK. Argos, over the next 6 months, will be selling lots of Universe and Animated figures, with most of the first wave already out.

In total, 8 Deluxe, 5 Voyager and 4 Ultra figures will be released for the Universe line and 15 Deluxe and 8 Voyager figures for the Animated line.

Already sighted are Universe Deluxe Sunstreaker, Prowl and Tankor (all costing the rediculus price of £12.99!), Voyager Heavy Load and Blaster and Ultra Onslaught and Powerglide. Be sure to look out for in the next couple of months.

Various retailers have received word from TakaraTomy that they plan on a 2nd production run for Transformers Masterpiece 02 Ultra Magnus, the repaint of MP-01 Optimus Prime. It will be out by Christmas, in November sometime. It will cost about $110 or £55 from retailers like Play-asia.com.

The figure was originally released in April 2006, and became very rare, very quickly, due to the limited production run.

comus of Actoys.net has posted the first images of Transformers Encore #11 Skywarp & Thundercracker in-package. The pictures feature the front and back of the packaging, which continues the Generation One style packaging, and a look at the contents inside the box, which will require some assemble upon arrival.

Encore #11 is due out at the end of August in Japan from TakaraTomy.

TF@TM have received the full listings of the next Argos Catalogue, which comes out this Saturday. Due to hit the UK soon are the full range of Transformers: Animated and Universe figures. Wave 2 Animated figures are expect at first with wave 3 coming soon after. The first wave of Universe toys should be released nationwide very soon.

Hasbro have updated their Transformers: Animated website with the product pages for the second wave of Activators. In this wave are Autobot Ratchet, Lockdown and Optimus Prime.

TFW2005.com member GenZhao has taken a large set of photos of Transformers Universe Treadbolt. In the gallery is the figure in the final colour scheme with photos of both jet and robot modes, showing the figure at many different angles.

The figure is a repaint of Classics Jetfire, released in early 2007.

Two auctions on Ebay have some new photos of Transformers Universe Springer. The first shows 4 photos of the robot and helicopter modes in what looks like a finished paint scheme, will another 2 photos in the second auction.

Springer is a voyager size figure that will only be available in the Target exclusive Standoff Beneath the Streets - Springer V Ratbat set.

A new gallery has been posted at Actoys.net, showing the Transformers Encore 10 Minibots in and out of their packaging. The photos show the front and rear of the packaging, as well as each bot transformed and both sides of the profile cards.

The set was originally numbered 9 but was swapped with Omega Supreme. The six figures in the set are Bumblebee, Swerve, Tailgate, Outback and Pipes, and can be picked up now from TakaraTomy.

jewelz_green of Actoys.net has posted a high resolution gallery of one of TakaraTomy’s latest Binaltech figures, BT-19 Bluestreak. The gallery shows both the robot and the Subaru Impreza WRX Sedan modes of the repainted figure, which was released earlier this month in Japan.
