Today sees the release of Transformers: Animated Season One on DVD in North America. The 2 disc set contains episodes 4 to 16. Extra features are minimal, with only a season 2 preview and a ‘Spanish language track’, which isn’t really an extra.

Last weekend we went to AA (that’s the Transformers convention as opposed to the alcoholics meet) and took some photos. Sadly, looking at the photos in the cold light of day we might as well have been at an alcoholics meet.

Auto Assembly 2009 Questionnaire

Bernie Mac passes away, aged 50
We have today learned the sad news that comedian Bernie Mac has died following an ongoing illness. He was 50 years old.
Mac was best known to many transfans for playing the role of used car salesman Bobby Bolivia in the 2007 live action movie.
TheTransformers.net extends it’s sympathies to the Mac family at this time.

Megatron back with Tank Mode?
CHUD.com are reporting that Megatron will be back for the Transformers sequel, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, but not as you know him. Instead of being the weird plane thingy, this time he will mimic his Generation 2 and Classics form and be a tank.
There are also some spoilers to do with who and how he will be ressurected, so proceed with caution.
