Grim Monkey and Percy from our Transformers forum travelled to London this past weekend to interview Michael Bay and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley at the UK premiere of Transformers Dark of the Moon. While on the blue carpet (not red) the lads found out Rosie’s favourite Transformers, asked her how she’d coped going from modelling underwear to acting in a feature film, and they questioned Michael Bay about his decision to put flames on Optimus Prime!

Transformers Dark of the Moon Global Premiere

The global premiere for Transformers Dark of the Moon took place last night in Mocow. The premiere was attended by the full cast, including Michael Bay and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. On our Facebook page you can see loads of pictures from the premiere, including the red carpet photographs, the screening photos, the press conference and from a Linkin Park concert at Red Square.

Fox fired for Fuhrer faux-pas!

Ever since it was revealed that Megan Fox would not be returning for the third instalment of the Transformers movie franchise, Transformers: The Dark of the Moon, those behind the movies have maintained that Fox, who played Sam Witwicky’s love interest Mikaela Banes, left on her own accord.

However, in the build up to the latest film, it has been revealed by the director of all three instalments, Michael Bay that she was fired under orders of executive producer Stephen Speilberg over comments she had made with regard to Bay.

In 2009, Fox, in an interview with Wonderland Magazine said “He’s like Napoleon and he wants to create this insane, infamous mad-man reputation. He wants to be like Hitler on his sets, and he is. So he’s a nightmare to work for”

On getting wind of this, Speilberg made the decision to have Fox written out of the third instalment, where she will be replaced by british actress Rosie Huntington-Whitely, playing Sam’s new love interest Carly.

Auto Assembly 2004: The Video

Back in 2004, the UK Transformers convention known as Auto Assembly was filmed by Crazy Dog Media for Metrodome Distribution and their series of Transformers DVD releases. The short film appeared as a special feature on the DVDs. The host for the video was TheTransformers.Net’s own Overlord, and some well known faces from the Transformers world crop up in the film.

Just look at how young some of them look!

New Decepticon Transformers Website Design

Our new brand spanking website only went live last week, and already we’ve improved it – we’re not ones for sitting around on laurels you know? If you remember some years ago our website used to have selectable skins, where you could choose between website designs such as Optimus Prime, Megatron, Rodimus Prime and Scorponok – you do? Good.

Well, we’ve brought that back – only far more interactive. If you look to the right of the website, underneath the Facebook box (where you should also click by the way, to like us on Facebook) you’ll see an option to choose from Autobot and Decepticon themes. Go on, click it. Doing so will make things go all purple, and evil like.

If you’re real good we may even add a movie theme for Transformers Dark of the Moon… wouldn’t that be nice?
