View Full Version : Who has the daftest alt mode
For me Reflector. Really what was the point of Reflector? Sure it was a good toy idea but in the world of transformers you would be pretty gutted if it took 3 of you to make a camera.
When whoever decided that is what you would be, you would be pretty peeved.

Reflector was pretty daft... and I know this will annoy some people but Perceptor's alt mode was daft. I mean, a microscope??? That said, Perceptor came in quite a lot of use with this alt mode in the cartoon series and it can shoot powerful blasts that can fell even Devastator! So maybe I was wrong putting Perceptor. I think Reflector has the dafter alt mode out of the two.

For me it's Beast Wars Injector ... a Fish/Wasp hybrid.
His body's not designed for swimming and in the air he's just be fast food for the birds. Not to mention he's as fugly as hell.

He could also fly, whenever the director felt like it and the toy was a semi-function microscope. Blaster takes the cake on this one for the Autobots. He was supposed to be Soundwave's counterpart, but with the exception of that one instance in the movie, I don't remember him doing anything else useful in his alt-mode.

Read the comics; his alt mode is quite useful in the Underbase story "Club Con" (US #47).

So? Overbite was a shark, as are a few others (mostly from BW). And they couldn't even fly like Sky-Byte. Those are more limited in their alt-mode than Sky-Byte is, but they are less limited than say Seawatch or other boat-formers. The sharks can go underwater, the boat-formers can only go on top of it.

It doesn't matter. When you have a robotic Jaws that flies, you have to cut him a lot of slack. Few things are more awesome than this. I mean, that's a shark that can go head-to-head with an Aerialbot.

I thought about Megs but then he does still turn into a gun.

the cassettes are spys so they have to be small

megs and the target masters are different, the target masters were designed to allow the nebuons to walk and have power, megs was just turned into a gun because telltran 1 was mental.
