It's been quite a few years since I photographed my collection and this shiny new forum has provided me with reason to do so once more.

You guys had better enjoy these, seeing as I dusted for you! (please note, first time using this photo uploader so I'm sorry if these end up giant).

This is my set up for when I'm filming Auto Assembly videos. Which is only when I absolutely have to.

This is a bad photo, but there's not much standing space in my room.

Brilliant collection you have there.

I am especially fond of the Welker/Cullen photo you have. That is possibly the coolest photo ever.

You have much more in your collection than I thought you had. For some reason i thought you only had a handful....

It's me who only has a handful. Maybe 50 or 60 TF's, and a mix of G1, LAM and Alt's and Animated at that.

Alas though - they are all in the loft.

we_are_forest - I don't know how well you can make it out, but it's signed and personalised by Welker... but not Cullen *sighs*. I do have a personalised Cullen autograph though but ti's seperate. Thing is I'm not *really* an autograph person, but I get them occasionally :)

Rav/Casper - I don't have that many. I have less than 500 including minicons etc. Someone like Percy would walk all over that. I'm quite choosy about what I buy though.

It might just be me, but are my alternators / masterpiece pictures not showing up there?

May seem strange coming from me but quantity ain't everything. I'm a completist by nature, always have been with anything I collect, but that is still a lovely looking collection

Cas, the worst thing you can ever do is buy for buying's sake and ends up with shelves full of stuff you don't want. I have about 3 shelves worth of stuff which... ok I want to keep it, but it bothers me that it doesn't fit in. That's because for me, collecting goes further than owning. It's really more about displaying in particular nerdy ways.

Also, I forgot to answer the galvatron question somebody posed - the generations/classics Galvatron you see is from the Challenge at Cybertron pack (the one that is white in vehicle mode). I also have the original and now (not in pictures) the clear version. Not the henkei though.

I'd like to have some more of mine out. does annoy me that i have to keep stuff in the roof because of the lack of space in our house. i go through phases of getting stuff down and having a play though (much to my girlfriend's annoyance :D) i tend to get odd cravings for particular figures and think 'oh i right want to have a go with 'x' character right now'. Just been playing with my series 5 Doctor Who figures. I only have a few that I picked up on clearance and they are great. I much appreciate having a smaller Who collection than i used to have (I had loads of the figures from the 2005 relaunch, but just kept the Tenant series 3 figures and sold the rest). i didn't really intend picking up any more Who figures, but damnit, Matt Smith & Karen Gillan's performances got under my skin and i thought it would be nice to have a plastic representation to show my love! and then i had to get a Tardis for them ... Gosh, collecting is silly isn't it? Its like my Lego Castle I used to have. I picked up a few sets that I missed having from childhood and somehow that lead onto a large colelction of stuff that i couldn't do a right lot with (i sort of got bit by the completist bug, 'ooh, i only need three more sets ancd then i've got all the 1984 stuff' !). So it got sold. same with Transformers. there are soem lines i love, like really love. and then there's stuff that i just ...had because there was just nothing else about. i think the turning point was the Cybertron line for me. I'd not bought many Armada figures because the step back in terms of engineering left me cold. Energon started to move back towards affrodable Scout and Deluxe figures (lacking in the main from Armada) but only the Decepticons were any good and then Cybertron launched with a few horrible blocky lumps. The sense of disappointment with massive figures like Scourge and Crumplezone really made me rethink my purchasing habits, because I really was not impressed with some of the stuff that was coming out. So they all went (although i do miss my armada megatron a bit) and then i started looking at everything else and just thought, this is too much and its not getting any attention so lets have a clear out. I'm much happier with the stuff i have left now, which generally really is the stuff that's important to me. i try to be a bit more cautious with what i pick up now and not just rush out and buy stuff just because there's a bit of a buzz around it. MP Hot Rod is a case in point. i was almost on the verge of picking one up (espceially with the TRU voucher), but it seems the figure has some QC issues - some boxed examples have snapped ankles, crumbly paint on the spoiler and a fragility that means careful handling is required as there are parts that are easily broken. Fifty quid is a lot to spaff on something that either might be broken striaght from the box or, knowing me, is something i'll end up breaking unintentionally so i gave it a miss. i'll stick with my cheap and cheerful classics version :)

wow. i have rambled on there haven't i?
