A frightening recolour of Terrorsaur, Lazorbeak is a shocking purple and fleshy pink pterodactyl. It looks a bit mental, truth be told. In fact, all the Predacon Basic Figures of series 2 are a bit.wacky. Bright oranges, purples and pinks all make for a slightly sickening and retina shredding assault on your visual cortex. God knows what the designers were thinking.
As a repaint of Terrorsaur, Lazorbeak is a flip-changer, so unlike his other wave mates there's no transforming to be done. The beast mode is decent enough, and the colour scheme does work, despite how mad it looks. The mouth opens, but that's about it for articulation in this form.
Lazorbeak's robot mode is also an oddly dangerous looking thing. I think its the way those luminous yellowy green eyes stare out at you that make him look so fearsome, as if he's daring you to mock his outrageous colouring.
A good mould to begin with, there's little to add that hasn't already been discussed in the earlier Terrorsaur review. The articulation is superb, and Lazorbeak can strike some excellent poses, thanks to all those ball joints. Lazorbeak also manages to carry off that rarest of things - being a character of his own although that is largely thanks to that mental paint job.
