Mixmaster

Mixmaster is the most basic figure out of the Constructicons. His cement truck mode is great, with some nice detailing and a rotating drum, but both the attack mode and robot mode are slightly underwhelming. Mixmaster, like the Technobot Lightspeed, is a monofooted block in robot mode. Very little is required to get him into robot mode. You effectively turn the cement mixer upside down. He makes the likes of Cliffjumper look exotic by comparison. Some decals just about convince you that he does actually have two legs, and he can move his arms around. The overhead rocket launcher is quite fun, but the single missile does make him look unfortunate. He can also wield Devastator's gun in robot mode, but as it’s nearly as long as he is tall, it looks a bit daft. For his European outing in 1992, the missile launcher was completely stripped out, mechanics and all, leaving Mixmaster with an unsightly hole in his side. It’s a bit rubbish that they couldn’t be bothered to fill the space with a bit of extra plastic and the lack of any non-firing missiles means the panel above his head now looks a bit of a mess.
