I like the one that cranks up in the first film where Barricade and Bumblebee have at it. I have no idea who it is, because I haven't been arsed to check out who does what on the Soundtracks. I like Steve Jablonsky's score too, although the strongest stuff he did was in the first film. Incidentally, does the score exist in a physical format?

I wasn't a fan of the music overall, but I guess either Arrival or Autobots (as if they sound any fraggin' different) were probably my favorite. If we're talking actual songs... eh, that Goo Goo Dolls song or What I've done are fine, I guess.

I didn't pay that much attention to the music overall, loved Arrival though and the Goo Goo Dolls song was played at my wedding as we left the ceremony together.

i don't recognise that goo goo doll's tune...
i hate when movies are over scored or have too many "popular" songs in them. many movies are doing this and it annoys me as they are really queuing in the stupid people as when to be scared.
it's why i like Akaira and Paranormal activity, both use the "sound track" as more of an undertone which you don't notice, unlike this part is happy, this is sad, this is scary, this is sexy, sad, happy, dead so be sad music.

actually the first 7 bands are rather big on the first album, they are mainly just none main stream music! well main stream rock like the foo or linkin park,
my fav song would have to be smashing pumpkins- doomsday clock!
I find it weird that companies seem to be making albums with music from big bands, but yet none or not much of it in the film its for! Alice in wonderland was one of the worst for it, with an album with huge bands with new songs, btu only one was used, and only for the credits, its good as the scene music was excellent in it, but i cant see why go to sooo much effort for it really,
im not complaining as the shinedown song was brilliant on it!

so don't get you here and the song choices here to boot, are they in the Film or not?

On Topic, I loved the Theme from TF3 right at the beginning with Primes intro, I had it on youtube the name escapes me. Second to none is cool when I'm training, and others as well on the whole I found the OST pretty cool, however I loved the Orchestral Music in all of the LOTR so, i'm easily swayed, with gripping tones.

That's because of the crazy march of capitalism, Cyber Jam. Music used in films for particular scenes strikes a chord and results in follow on sales for the artists involved. The rise of the compilation album quickly spawned the soundtrack album - but what do you do when only 6 pop songs are used in your film? Simple: pad it out with "music inspired by" , this makes it easier for the consumer to track down a particular song heard in a film ... whilst adding to the studios coffers through licensing and merchandising tie ins (such as soundtrack albums). Worse still, you get stung twice now with a separation of the score from the songs. The wailings of Chester Drawers and Linkin Bizkit have never been my cup of tea and I didn't actually realise we got a different song from them for ROTF...says it all really. I'm suprised that Transformers hasn't utilised more Industrial/ Electronic acts for its soundtracks, but then what would i know...?
Anyway, on topic it's the score all the way for me :)
