Death's Head

Scrapper is a step up from his Constructicon cohort Mixmaster in terms of complexity, but is still a fairly vanilla in the way he transforms. The barely concealed robot mode arms do harm a decent looking payloader. The addition of wings for short range flight capabilities are an amusing choice for an attack mode, but would no doubt offer the element of surprise on the battlefield. A flying digger wouldn’t exactly be what I was expecting the enemy to throw at me either. Robot mode is fairly obviously achieved by swinging the rear around to form the legs and moving the scoop out of the way to pull the head up. Scrapper has an excellent robot mode which makes up for a slightly basic toy. The holes in his fists are way too big for his hand gun though, which would normally be annoying, but it works out in Hook’s favour as Scrapper’s fists are more suited to Hook’s gun and vice versa. Aside from the colour differences and the lack of Devastator parts, the 1992 issue is identical to his 1985 release.
