Seawatch, Fixit, Stakeout and Red Hot form the Rescue Patrol. A good representation of the four key emergency services (despite what the AA will tell you), they add a nice bit of variety to the plethora of cars and jets that comprised the majority of the Micromaster line.

Each of the four members of the Rescue Patrol are highly detailed figures. Seawatch has a slightly bulky hydrofoil alternate mode with some nicely sculpted parts to represent rails, winches and other assorted rescue equipment. He also has one of the best looking robot modes of the line, with a stocky build and excellent head sculpt.

Red Hot is a slick looking fire tender, with ladder that can raise up and rotate through 360 degrees. It is spoilt a bit by the two holes at the front – required to form the legs when transforming. Red Hot’s robot mode is a belter that not even a slightly too large head can undermine.

Stakeout ties with Seawatch for personal favourite. The robot mode is a bit of an awkward looking affair, mainly because his legs look way too long. This isn’t really the case, but the small arms are slightly too short which harms his proportions. The police car vehicle mode is killer. Apparently modelled on the bleak looking cruisers seen in 1987’s Robocop movie, it’s a nice spin on this over familiar mode.

Fixit is perhaps the weakest of the group. Not because there’s anything particularly bad about him, but the general boxiness of the ambulance mode is carried over to the robot mode and he looks barely transformed. The ‘hood’ obscures the head somewhat, making him look like some knife wielding chav, rather than a doctor. Fair play to the designers for trying something different, but its just not come off here.

Hmm. I agree on Fixit. He's essentially a scaled-down First Aid, but without the hood-hinge. Still a great team though, one of my faves.

I agree. I used to have this group and among the MicroMachines sets it was my favorite... which is why I don't have it anymore as it got really played with. The pics bring back good memories, though. :)
