Here would be a great place to post upcoming new TV Series. Maybe add a link and a few words about it that maybe will be of interest to the Community, this doesn't necessarily have to be Geek TV. Shows in General.

This has just entered into Season 2 I'm quite enjoy it, obviously the job title has nothng to do with this choice or has it but what's really not to like about Miss Peregrym here?

Want to tell you about my Favourite show that has all seasons now on Blu Ray, I can not rant enough about this show. Boston Legal. This show put shattner back up Top and brought the best out of him, period.

Scene 1.

Alan Shore aka Jason Spader, countless awards and that reason being:

so you going to post anything of stock or just think out load and gives all Headaches ;-).... and why does you SIG look like a Ferengi. Post something about TV Shows. And as you so rightly put, if and when some one comes on here, one could post the Cartoon up for them to see straight off instead of guessing 101 times. The beauty of this new Forum.

I enjoyed this in my youth...I dare you to make this better Mr.Bay..

I digress from:
http://www.thetransformers.net/forum/threads/25-The-Cape?p=1519#post1519
I have to say The Cape might get better, but as I said 1 and 2 were wobbly for me. It's amazing what's be taken off air of late and with that said will this flimsey season start carry on?

V the Visitors picked up for me and was flat out cancelled, but like most series it's storyline dropped in between, due to scrappy writing, if you asked me. Then it was replaced or lets say boosted with additional writers and materiel but all too late.Which begs the question, why oh why not have a flat out plan for 1 or 2 seasons instead of lets see how the first few turn out? Don't these writer/Producers have a back up plan, plan B anymore? Shame really as I was quite enjoying it.

Supernatural Season 7 or part Two of 6 if you will, now I am looking forward to that. This series, has two good looking guys in it and hot girls, and was targeted well and actually had form the word go a wider audience as wanted and predicted for me, a great start, hey and it has already hit season 6 with an ever growing budget. The two main actors said no more after Season 5, BUT due to interest and wads of Cash why not. And as I said it is well written and that constantly since Season 1 and has back tracked and ended the each season with NO loose ends (Bay you taking this down, you CGI Goon)
just a little look:

Great Soundtrack on each and every Season to boot and here the end of Season 6

Everybody needs to watch Freaks and Geeks. It's a fantastic show with loads of pre-fame celebrities. It's about high school kids in 1980. Produced by Judd Apatow, and starring James Franco (Spiderman, loads of other stuff), Linda Cardellini (Scooby Doo and ER), Seth Rogen (Knocked Up, Green Hornet etc), Jason Segel (Forgetting Sarah Marshall, How I Met Your Mother), Busy Phillips (Cougartown) and John Francis Daley (Waiting, Bones). However, by far the best actor/character is Martin Starr as Bill. He's had small roles since, mostly in other Apatow films, but he's great in this. In the Halloween episode, he wisely decides to go as the Bionic Woman.

I was watching it on TV several years ago, never got through the whole thing, TV schedules be damned. I liked it a lot, though. I know it's one of those shows that got unfairly cancelled far too early in their life-cycle. Another fun cancelled show was Threshold and a cop drama that I really don't remember what it's called, I just remember it was a remake of an English show. Something "Evil".

Haven't found a single show this year I'm geniuinely excited for. Supernatural's running on fumes and House... oh, sweet House. I used to be in love with this show, now I just wish it ended already. Even Hugh Laurie's head can't handle it anymore and it started losing hair.

Blaster
13-10-11, 02:28 PM
Then just don't watch it, tis that simple. Wiping the whole Cast (more or less) is a great start with little explenation needed. As it has been left up to the viewers to decide. Hugh himself knows that the Americans do their shows to the bitter end, so I'm sure he'll know what to do as he has hinted this could be the end. As for loosing hair and so on, all part and parcel of life it's self I'm afraid, even for the Prince regent ;-) It's still topping in the ratings over there and everyone needs to work. I'm sure he'll sort it. As for Supernatural, I'll hardly say it's running on fumes (apart from Sams story) both actors wanted to end on a high, BUT it had such a following towards the end, they both said why the hell not, and there we have it money talks. It's not boring and should work itself out so they can go out on a high. I for one will be watching it until it ends, as I find it well written,as is House.

Terra Nova anyone seen this? Watched the First two, well Pilot. Not bad, like the Dominion night vision Glasses (Glass) and the Romulan Green Laser guns, will it go any where, Thoughts?

Nah. Fan. I'd rather see it dead than disgraced and it's been bordering that for several years now.

As for Supernatural... it's really not well-written, but it is fun, in its own way, I guess. Still, lost its spark since Kripke left the show, even though I've been merely holding on to it ever since it started that heaven/hell silliness. If not for Misha Collins selling the angel BS well, I'd probably have stopped this one.

Several Years of borderline Crapness, what a life.

As for the it's not well written, I guess the ratings and fans are moronic idiots who's opinions are bordering on borderline boredom, then again some scrape through for some Seven years at a go, and hey if they can't scrape through some other person or country will help them through.

BTW watched your youtube clips, made me think of Chips, no not Fish and Chips, Chip's and Eric Estrada, not bad, so "attention all units Chip's will return in a moment"

Old - Sherlock: Can't wait for series 2, though with Martin Freeman either shooting or getting ready to shoot for The Hobbit it might be a loooong while.

New - NCIS and Psyche: New seasons and I'm enjoying them.

NeoRanger

Oh right, I do still love NCIS. It's the only procedural I remember that has managed to maintain roughly the same level of quality since the start. It's probably because it's on the move all the time, distracting you from the errors here and there, but hey; it works.

Also, believe it or not, The Vampire Diaries are a blast to watch-- I was just as surprised to find that out for myself after the first season concluded. It's fun, entirely inconsequential television done right.

Been plowing through some of the clutter on the magical Sky Box, finally finished Peep Show series 8 which whilst not as strong as previous series, has had its moments. The paintball episode and the bathroom sales sting being particular favourites, along with the curry scene at the top of the run and the concluding world's most miserable picnic.

Also been watching MisFits (still a few episodes to go) and, as with Being Human, it has handled a change in the cast well, the new characters don't feel as though they have the same weight as the original line up and feel almost cartoonish by comparrison. My favourite episode so far has been the one focussing on Lola. Needs more super power action too, there's been a distinct lack of that.

oh, and I watched executive produced by Charlie Brooker 'A Touch Of Cloth'. Avoid. Its a bit of a stinker.

I've been watching Arrow, and I like it, but I'm not overwhelmed. I don't know that much about Green Arrow, so I'm not sure how faithful it is. I'll watch this season, and see if it makes me wasnt tom watch the next. John Barrowman as the big bad doesn't seem all that intimidating though. Apparently, they're trying to ground it more in reality, which means no superpowers, just superskills. I'm not sure if this will pay off, although it does mean we could still see Batman.

I was going to, but wasn't drawn in by the trailers. I'm running out of shows at the minute. Fringe has just finished, and Leverage's last season starts in a week or 2, after the rushed second half of season 4. I watched The Following, which seems good, but will see how it pans out.

Utopia's really good, you should give it a whirl. There's an eerie stillness to the vibrancy with which its shot which I really like. And it has one of the creepiest villains in the form of Poppets eating shamble-athon man, whom wheezes and looks like a potato in a tracksuit.

The Viz

Cant see why not - she already came back as her own twin cousin (or something).

The death of Laura Palmer was only a small part of what Twin Peaks was about - it was solved during season 2.
A lot of peolpe think revealing the killer was part of why viewing figures dropped but it was never the writers descion to do that, the studio or tv network forced them to do it. With shows like Lost and Desperate Housewive being popular - i can see Twin Peak filling the gap they have left.

Charlie Brooker was back on telly last night with a show called Weekly Wipe, which sounds like a toilet manouevre. Very funny though, and I am looking forward to a second run of his Black Mirror (which I will no doubt miss because Channel 4 insist on trailing things relentlessly a month or two before broadcast with annoying 'coming soon' trailers so the ones that tell you the actual time and date that the show is on never register)

11-02-13, 10:34 PM
...yeah, well you wont have to put up with her much longer. Two episodes into series five and I found out that BBC3's top rated show has been axed :( boo.

i'm getting a bit worried that our networks are now getting a little less brave with their telly. The Fades lasted only a series, Merlin's gone, Primeval has been sold to Americans to do what Americans do with all our shows (make their own feeble versions for unfathomable reasons), which leaves just Doctor Who and MisFits...and who knows if the latter will return next year?

Still, at least there's Charlie Brooker's Black Mirror to put things in perspective. A properly bleak tale of grief and technology. In a way, it reminded me of an old issue of Transmetropolitan which showed the sad fate of cyrogenic revivals in the future.

Blaster
12-02-13, 03:45 PM
Apparently, it was axed due to the finishing off of the last cast, and that all had been done, they did not want to ruin it stretching it out.

Supernatural is really getting silly.

Newsroom -Great

The Office USA only watched S7 and S8 because Spader was in it. - now no more for me.

Death's Head
12-02-13, 06:03 PM
Hmm, I sincerely hope this was the decision of the programme makers. Too often at the BBC, new commissioning editors either bury or axe projects begun by their predecessors - irrespective of whether they are any good or not - simply because they do fit with the new broom's vision for the channel, or they just plain don't like them. Insofar as BBC 3 goes, I'm not sure what else they're going to do. The channel is a morass of awful 'yoof' programming like Don't Tell The Bride. Dreadful, bottom of the barrel cheap to make reality TV guff and misfiring sitcoms are the order of the day for the rest of the channels output. The other thing that may have impacted on the ability to produce new episodes will be finance - the licence fee has been frozen for five years, which is a cut in real terms, so expensive (in comparrison to the usual slew of police and medical dramas) shows look to have been the first ones to have the plug pulled. The Fades, Merlin and now Being Human. Doctor Who looks relatively safe for now, but the fractured output of late indicates that there's some finance issues there too (probably not helped by the show's continued overspend). With Being Human its particualrly sad, as the new cast are a joy and there's life left yet in the show. it just feels too soon.

dannyannimus
18-02-13, 11:20 PM
I've stuck with Arrow so far, and planned to at least watch the whole first season, but I just don't care. It's not drawing me in at all, so I'm taking it off my sky+.

Death's Head
18-03-13, 09:47 PM
Oh my God. How awesome was the last Being Human? A really great finale, if a little rushed (really could have used the extra two episodes the Beeb pruned from this run which has meant the ending felt a bit squished). Properly good stuff. I am genuinely sad to see this show go. Sob!

Still not watched replacement show 'In The Flesh' about zombies though. Jesus, that smells of band wagon jumping and programming by commitee doesn't it?

Just getting back into the Walking Dead too, with Series 3 starting back up again on Fox that used to be FX. Still as harsh as ever. Series 3 has been proper good!

Still to watch the end of Utopia, so shhh! don't spoil it for me!

...also, has anyone on hear ever watched Lexx? I have fond memories of the few episodes I remember catching back in the day, but don't know if the show as a whole was up to much.
