Why Casp wear the wrong clothes? Bad Hair-do ;-)
Glad you did not like it of sorts, then I'm not alone. I imagined more some how...
i really don't know why i didn't like it. i've been reading about it and looking at bits and i don't understand why i don't like it
Off to see 'Ted' tonight. Has anyone seen it yet?
yeah, ted was pretty good, was a good as i thought it was going to be but still decent
Well I'll tell it how I see it, feel it. Batman was a little off beat, and none the less Hollywood like but not quite, then the Second Film, was just right but none the less, better than it really was, due to the Death of a certain Actor (RIP) how to Top the that? There was no way to top that! Therefore we were a little let down, but truth be told we were with the first ;-)
Don't or did not want to speak ill of the Dead here.
I haven't been to the flicks for a while .Last thing I saw was Rock Of Ages, which was cheesy fun. Although Russell Brand deserves a slap for his silly brummie accent.
Finally got around to watching X-Men : First Class (Jesus, We have a rental list but its so full of stupid romantic comedies that I generally give up and end up buying the stuff I want to see...). Anyway, it is good and enjoyed it. I like Mystique, so pleased to see her get some solid characterisation and a decent backstory. A lot of the cast did struggle to get a look in, but the story was solid and everyone got at least a few lines so you got a good handle of what they were about. Except the bad guys that weren't Sebastian Shaw and Emma Frost.
I've not seen Batman : TDKR or Amazing Spider-Man, both of which I really wanted to go see, so will probably end up picking them up on DVD down the line. I am wanting to see the new Dredd film, which looks brutal. Plus Karl Urban! Awesome.
Saw the Ed Norton Hulk film and liked it, but found it a bit light on depth and lady face Liv Tyler was exceptionally drippy.
Ghost Rider : Spirit Of Vengeance. Sigh. The great tradgedy of this film is that it has a cracking script by former Buffy/ Angel scripter David Goyer, who really understands the source material and has put his own spin on things and then its b*ll*cksed up by a truly diabolical performance from Nicholas Cage and the dude playing the devil. The direction from the duo that kindly brought us Crank (cheers for that) is pretty good ... when it doesn't overeach itself and get tied up in being needlessly flashy. The 3-D scenes add nothing are so clearly filmed sepearately to the main meat of the film that they can't help but stand out. It's a shame, because if weren't f**ked up by those elements, GR : SOV would have been a perfectly servicable little B-Movie. The effects for the Rider himself (used sparringly in the film - most of his appearances are what you see in the trailer) are excellent and much better than the first film. The making of featurettes on the DVD are almost apologetic, as everyone goes on and on about the lack of finance available for making the film.
Superhero? No, you were right all along. Name's Death's Head. I kill people for a living!
