Can he do a bad Scottish accent? Which aging scottish actor will they get to play a spaniard who's spent years in Japan? We need this info.
NO ONE and I REPEAT NO ONE will outclass Connery as Ramirez, That role will not be an easy choice.
As for Reynolds Danny I adopted the Scottish Accent within days, tis easyish. Mind you if you speak like a Yorkshireman you can do the Scotts Accent as well.
Personally, I wanted Thomas Jane for the role of Highlander, but hey....

It's all, well alot about the eyes in Highlander, the eyes tella thousand stories and some. Which you can or should as a Immortal.
All the Highlander sequels have been steaming turds, so I'm not holding my breath for this even as a fan of the first film (and even that had a wildly variable script and between Connery and Lambert, some of the funniest accents ever)
As for a recasting of the main role, there can be only one!
And by one, I mean Ewan McGregor. No need to fake the accent, and due to the Star Wars prequels, very experienced in sword fighting.
As for Ramirez, someone like Anthony Hopkins or Liam Neeson maybe?
Kurgan though is tougher. Can't think who could play the role of a 6' something Russian psychopath.

Dunno, but I had a funny dream once that they were in a really bad Star Wars film.
Kurgan will probably be played by a wrestler. I haven't watched any for ages, so I'm not sure on some of the more recent ones, but Triple H might be good. And by good, I mean passable, as long as he doesn't have too many lines and just has to look mean.
if any one from the WWE school of none acting then Kane!! Or the Beserker lol.
Have to agree with Swoop not sure they'll be able to pull this off and the Soundtrack, Sorry but nobody will out do Queen or Freddie.
