Current retail lines in the UK are Dark Of The Moon leftovers, Transformers: Prime is the current line Hasbro are pushing which ties into the CGI TV show of the same name.
The 'Generations' line, the latest permutation of the Universe line has reinturpretations of core 1980s characters, and lines shipping later this year will feature designs based on the Fall Of Cybertron video game including the Combaticons, Shockwave, Grimlock and some others.
The Encore reissue line has recently given us re-releases of the original Constructicons, Soundblaster & Twincast (the latter with new Cassette robots).
Premium Collector line Masterpiece has given us Rodimus Prime (the Japanese version capable of switching between Hot Rod and Rodimus Prime, whilst the western release is just the Hot Rod toy with his Targetmaster partner), a western release for the new Optimus Prime mould (complete with trailer and Roller) is planned for later this year and future releases in this series include Soundwave (plus cassettes) and Sideswipe.
...as for Action figures in general, its all about stuff with accompanying media Avengers, Spider-Man, Thundercats etc etc. Action figures seem to be moving away from the traditional 6" scale to 3" sized toys with interactive playsets.
Transformers related websites - for excitable Fanboys, TFW2005, Seibertron are the big two. Other sites worth checking out would be TFArchive.com, Transformers At The Moon, TFU.Info (more of a resource this one), TransFans, The Hub, Unicron.com and The Allspark. If you can stomach five shouty Americans for up to two hours at a time, Radio Free Cybertron can be worth a listen and another site that's cool resource based site is Botch's Box Art which has hi-res scans of the package art for the majority of the 1980s toyline.
Superhero? No, you were right all along. Name's Death's Head. I kill people for a living!
yeah have a look at transformerland.com or ebay or tfsource.com.
I'm looking for some certain characters myself
