Jetpower - Optimus + Jetfire combined.. Worth it?

Hey peeps! Been looking at the Jetfire/Optimus combo from the second movie and I think it looks pretty sweet.. so checked out eBay.. Looking to cost around £200.

    Is it worth it?
    Are they stable when combined?
Does it display well, or look like poop?

    No - I paid £20 for mine.
No - If you clip the front on, the back falls off, and if you clip the back on, the front falls off.
No - It falls over backwards easily, so it's difficult to pose.

If you can get them both for under £50, then it's worth it, because individually they're okay, but I personally wouldn't pay more.

The price is definitely too high. But I have to disagree with the other two points. I found the two fugures to clip together easily an securely and had no balance problems. As a display piece it looks great, but that is due to the fact that the combination prevents Optimus from using the majority of his articulation. Not much fun to play with together, but makes a nice statue.

I wouldn't pay £200 for them, that's for sure. Although, I see that they sell for pretty much near their RRP even MIB. I paid £25 for OP from The Entertainer and £22.50 for Jetfire from Argos.

In regards to displaying them, there is not much you can do with them, as said above, OP has his articulation taken away by the Jetfire legs.

I find it difficult to clip the two grey prongs on Jetfire on to OP's chest. Mine are held together by the rubber belting which goes around his waist.

    I love mine!

I've checked Toys R Us, Argos, Entertainer and the usual websites but none have any in stock anymore. So checked ebay and they're still up for £150 for the boxed set or £65+ each.

Any other ideas on where I could obtain these from please?

When I bought mine they were on clearence.

Keep an eye out in The Entertainer stores as they restock on random old TFs from time to time.

Your best bet is to keep an eye out on eBay for the pre-owned ones as they do become available quite often. I find that most people either list them as 'Large Transformer' or 'Transformer truck/plane' etc as they don't really know what they are selling. They also tend to be very mis-transformed as you can tell that kids have struggled transforming them
