My word it's pretty! And the 3d on it is impeccable.
Interesting considering its not actual 3D. Its just a 2 pixel shift to the right for the second image. Its surprising how well it works though.

3DS price cut is excellent news. I'm still waiting on some new (and by new I don't mean ports) games to become available before I get too excited.

Something interesting is happening at Sony. Recently they've made some interesting investments. They've signed Tarsier Studios, DoubleEleven Ltd (Former Rockstar Leeds guys who made GTA for PSP) and Novarama (Augmented Reality specialists) to exclusivity deals. They've also committed to putting $20 million into PSN exclusive development, and now they've purchased Sucker Punch Productions (who made Sly Cooper and inFAMOUS).

They are bulking up substantially. Guerilla Games now has a second studio, Polyphony Digital now has a second studio and Media Molecule are expanding. Take into consideration the multi-game exclusivity deals they have in place with Eat.Sleep.Play (Twisted Metal), LightBox Interactive (StarHawk), Quantic Dream (Heavy Rain) and ThatGameCompany (Flow, Flower, Journey) then something is definitely going on.

That or Yoshida has been smoking crack.

Microsoft have also been expanding. They've opened new development studios in London, Vancouver etc. All seem to be focusing on Kinect. (Much like Rare and Lionhead).

PS4 and Nextbox bulking up more than likely.

i see it more as a late burst to get people to buy the PS3/360 to get the foot in the door for the PS4/NBX.
The stronger you are towards the end of shelf life the better.

I see Sony's expansion as more of an effort to support PS3/PS4 and Vita better. When the PS3 launched, PSP support dropped off as they had to do a frantic rescue job.

Vita support looks a lot better than PSP support did. When you have a guy like Ken Levine making an exclusive game for the system, its going in a good direction.

You'll have more time to think about it now.

The US and EU are getting it in 2012.

Sony felt sorry for nintendo's recent blunders so despite the west being where they most needed to regain a foothold in the handhelds market, they benignly decided to shoot themselves in the foot and cede christmas over to the now cheap 3DS, which by that time will have a slew of 1st party games like Super Maro Land 3D.

    Wait a second...

Must be an issue with getting enough hardware made.

Suite is finished and they have a ton of first party software ready to launch alongside it.

The 3DS wobbled and Sony didn't even try to kneecap it. Fools.

it's at a cheaper price point as well at launch, fecking mental, they must have either a problem with the Suite or as you said hardware must be hard to make due to the Tsunami
