Hmm. I'm still not convinced. I did like the look of Beachcomber and Brawn (not seen Warpath), but they didn't really look to have advanced beyond what their 1980s counterparts could do.

Superhero? No, you were right all along. Name's Death's Head. I kill people for a living!

I like the smaller legends size myself. Now days ,for the size, they are pretty posable plus u can have a lock full of them for emergencies and no one will notice lol.

I have three or for of them. In my car to transform while stuck in traffic

There always seems to be a higher ratio of deluxes to every other class so chances are you're more likely to find a deluxe you really like due to the number of releases

I'm currently fiddling around with Terradive for the first time - and wow this toy is nice ... so right now I'm all about the deluxe.

I've always liked the deluxes for size and detail, and they always seem in proportion to the larger figures in their respective ranges. I agree with the point about the classics/generations though, Galvatron should definitely be bigger and Powerglide smaller.

Only time I find a problem with scaling of the figures is with the movie ones, the leader class figures are too big. It's almost like the leader class figures could step on the deluxes quite easily so ideally they'd need to be voyager size to be to the right scale.

    stupid movie!!

There does seem to be a huge gap between Voyagers and Leader Class toys thes days. A well engineered Leader figure in the Voyager scale would be all you need (e.g. HFTD Voyager Prime and ROTF Voyager Megatron 'tank mode'). Mind you, scale is all over the shop in the toyline so I don't think it'll ever be perfect. Although I did like the increments in size during the Beast era. There the figures seemed to be much more in scale with each other.

I'm just looking at the deluxes I picked up the other day and they are all different sizes. Ironhide is quite small, Sidearm Side Swipe is what I would consider the right size for a deluxe, and Battle Blade Bumblebee towers over the pair of them and is knocking on for Voyager sized. I do like it when you get a figure that feels big for its size class though.

And then on the flipside, you get figures like VOYAGER Bulkhead that stands just shy of a deluxe!

I think this should be corrected to during the Beast Wars era. They did it as right as they could with scale. Beast Machines however, messed scale up royally. Nightscream vs Tankor for example.

Nightscream v Jetstorm and Tankor v Rattrap would be a fairer comparison. The only figure I can think of during the Beast era that didn't really suit it's class in terms of size or bulk was BM Mega Megatron.

Yes. I was thinking of Beast Wars, rather Beast Machines with its scattershot approach to whom got what sized figure (I'm picturing some 'pin the tail on the donkey' style escapades at Hasbro's R&D office that day).
