    Transformers Ride at Universal Studios

    I don't know if this news made it over here as I've just come back from Orlando, but while I was there it was announced that Universal Studios was building a Transformers ride in one of its theme parks - either Island of Adventure or Universal Studios. I spoke to a guy at the park about it and he said it was very hush hush, and no decision on where it would be situated or when it would be finished had been made yet. It probably won't be in Island of Adventure though as they have the Harry Potter ride, and that makes that park more popular than the other one - so I imagine they'll need some balance.

    At the same time, Disney announced an Avatar ride - which will be situated in Animal Kingdom and won't be ready until about 2016 - seems ages off, but I guess these things take a while. Also gives us an idea on a Transformers ETA.

    God, now all the bot loving girls will finally get to ride a Transformer ;-) this is great news, as we are planning in the not to distant future a trip to America,this will sway things for me.
    The Autobots will have a new leader in the forthcoming Transformers movie. He can turn in to a bowl of dog food. His name: Winalot Prime.

    2016 is just dandy, means the ride should still be open when I take my daughter to Florida for the theme parks when she's old enough to get on the rides!

    I'd love to see some photos of this once it's appeared. I think the high-tech nature of Transformers is perfect for a theme park ride. Unfortunately I won't ever be able to ride it due to a phobia of fairground/theme park rides.

    Its due to open this december in singapore and hollywood studios spring next year there are photos of it somewhere!

    Im actually off there next november!!
