These episodes so far are all about the origin of Lion-O and how he became a leader. I can totally dig this. I can understand hoe episode 3 can grate on some (It was very blatantly Moby Dick), but Episode 4 touched me (Great metaphor on how life can by at a blink of an eye).

Having said that: When the Thundertank exploded onto the scene, I was like **** YEAH!!

Ep4 enjoyed this one, bit of Star Wars Emperor and Eprentis thing going on, and the Driller shades of GALVATRON, nice...
The Autobots will have a new leader in the forthcoming Transformers movie. He can turn in to a bowl of dog food. His name: Winalot Prime.

That's ep5. Eps 1-2 was the pilot, ep3 was Moby Dick and ep4 was flower power.

Well 5 episodes in and I think I've sussed out who my favourite character is, the big guy with the nunchunks, battle tank and grudge against Grune. If I had to nit pick his completely bald look was better than the Hell Boy look he's rocking - but I'll get over that.

It's nice to see little nods to the past with Lion-O's 'thought he was bigger' line and the appearance of Driller. They seemed subtle and unintrusive unlike the sign posted homages in TF Animated.

I'm really wanting to get some of the toys now.

I like it so far, and I liked ep. 4 a lot. It is about the journey that will change Lion-O from a young, inexperienced and reluctant leader to the hero we all know and love.

Ep. 3 was about the obsession with revenge and not letting grief and anger for what you've lost drive you to lose what you still have. Now, in Ep. 4, Lion-O does what any person who has learned a hard lesson will do and overcompensates by trying to run away and becomes afraid of doing anything he thinks will put the rest of his group at risk. In this Ep., he learns balance, yes, it's important not to become so obsessed and single-minded that you lose perspective, but you can't let it drive you to inaction either.

So far I think the writing is good and the animation is awesome. They're preparing for an epic story and I think they're well on their way to accomplish it.

Really enjoyed episode 8, had a great western vibe to it and I loved Lion-O's impetuous acceptance of the dualist's challenge after he called him a coward.

    Best episode so far imo.
