    The Death Of Optimus Prime

    I'm thinking 'Meh.'

    Anyone else?

I am assuming Monsieur Fudge is talking about IDW's #125. It's one of those 'Death' stories that isn't as literal as it sounds. I thought it was rather good myself, with Barber and Roberts dealing with the conclusion of war very well indeed. Particularly as the neutrals and refugees whom abandoned Cybertron as the war escalated returned. The issue is also notable for the comic debut of Metalhawk. There's some nicely sketched out tension between all parties (well, except the Decepticons) and there's a very strong, interesting set up for the two ongoing books. Although, if I'm honest, Roberts gets the slightly less interesting premise with Rodimus off to space to search for the Knights Of Cybertron.

My one hope is that Metalhawk isn't revealed to be a Decepticon agitator or some lazy rubbish like that.

Superhero? No, you were right all along. Name's Death's Head. I kill people for a living!

I just think I would have preferred a more linear end to Chaos. Instead of all the silly time jumping, continuity fudging and vague hint dropping.

and an actual dead Optimus Prime, not just a bit of shonky name changing.

They changed his name? Haven't read it yet, but that sounds awful [specially if it's something like 'Orion Pax' or something like that].

anyone else think maybe the "death" of prime should have been #31, and #31 future story be the true celebration of 125 issues? would make more sense, well in my mind anyway!
felt the backstory was good, but i felt could have been set up abit better, but maybe it will get better, but i probably wont bother with the new series as they dont seem that appealing!

Orion Pax sounds something you'd stuff the Chicken or turkey with. Optimus Spears "oops I died again" how many times is this fella to be killed off, honestly he has more lives than Elvis in Vegas....
The Autobots will have a new leader in the forthcoming Transformers movie. He can turn in to a bowl of dog food. His name: Winalot Prime.

Oh God! Did he turn small again, then? I'm assuming since the Matrix has been handed down to Rodimus that OP should become smaller... The thought's just awful, though.

Orion Pax didn't seem (much) smaller in the flashback sequences.
