I thought this issue was pretty darn good myself. The set up with the refugees and civilian transformers returning and their less than enthusiastic reaction to the autobots victory was a realistic response (cybertron still being largely dead). Bumblebee as leader seems more plausible here and i liked the friction with rodimus whom wants to go off hunting for dai atlas rather than sort out the mess at home.

Superhero? No, you were right all along. Name's Death's Head. I kill people for a living!

I liked this. I was told to buy it by a couple of people, and it changed my opinions of the IDW universe (Lets just say I haven't been kind to the Costa era). No, it's not a very original story, but it served a higher function that the sum of it's parts:

*It hardsold what Barber & Roberts plan to do with their respective titles.
*It showed the diverging viewpoints of Rodimus & Bumblebee, even though ultimately they're looking towards the same result (They just don't know it)
*It introduced new characters like Metalhawk.
*Changed the factions somewhat, which is something the Dreamwave tried to do with War Within, but alas never fully came to fruition.
*Ultimately GOT RID of Prime & Megatron.

Now, unless a massive reset button is pressed, I'm digging this turn of events. It allows the creative teams to be very, VERY daring with what they can do. 'Cons will now have to work with 'Bots, yadda yadda yadda. IF they have the courage of their convictions, some new character dynamics can arise from this.

I suppose. I just wish it had acted more as an epilogue, less as a prologue.
