I just had a thought while comparing MTMTE and RiD. Rid is basically like Battlestar Galactica. All melodrama, overarching storylines and a the need for a recap of the last episode if you want any hope of knowing who's trying to kill who. MTMTE is like Stargate. Tightly written, self contained episodes. Full of humour and humanity, without getting in the way of the action.
On one hand, it is kinda of unfair to compare 2 drastically different writing styles, but then RiD does still come across a bit Vanilla, while MTMTE is spicy hot with chocolate on top.

There is one huge flaw with MTMTE - it isn't released often enough!
There is no I in TEAM... but there is ME
I agree. The latest issue brought the same kind of witty dialogue to the decepticons. Awesome.
I'm not looking forward to the inevitable 'oh its gone **** again' phenomenon.
Kinda feeling a bit let down by MTMTEs Dinobot Month. Yes, there was a Dinobot there. I think Decepticon Month ran over a bit.
Well, like Decepticon month, it's a load of gimmicky b*ll*cks to try and drum up a bit of interest. Which is pointless, given that the maximum audience reach for Transformers comics these days is around the 15K mark. Who else is going to give a f**k? Anyhoo, #8 was good fun. One of the things I've felt this series has been lacking is Decepticons, so its nice to have some thrown into the mix, so I hope Misfire and chums will continue to be a feature and don't go home to Cybertron.
Superhero? No, you were right all along. Name's Death's Head. I kill people for a living!
It's good to see some Decepticon-centric storylines. Usually we get a few scenes letting us know their next diabolical scheme, then it's back to the Autobots. It's also nice to see some characterisation for them too. In recent years, the only Decepticons who got any were Megatron, Starscream and Swindle.
RID #9 had an interesting change in tone. Seemingly due to popularity of MTMTE, RID got a bit lighter, and with wittier dialogue. Still nowhere near MTMTE's level, but it worked, whilst keeping the characters existing personalities. RID did seem a bit too serious, especially with MTMTE being so out there, so maybe this new approach will make it more accessible. I liked the look of Superion too.
