It's already been decided that it will be made, however in what context etc it is in is unclear. It's certainly not in proxy ion though.

I just hope Spielberg takes over the franchise. I heard Shia is no longer returning for any more Transformers, but I presume he'll be moving on to the Indiana Jones legacy.

I'm sure they won't focus on Sam/Spike any more if that's the case. I'm sure they won't replace him either, but possibly focus on Daniel Witwicky like 15 years in the future? Or they could always another series. Who knows. There's so much open possibilities. I just hope it doesn't end with Dark of the Moon (as much as I hate what Bay did to Transformers).

don't hate bay. whatever you think of him as an auteur, you can't deny that he has cemented Transformers as something more than a geeky nostalgia fad for men (and women) who should know better in the eyes of the public (whilst we all know better, of course!). i'm pleased the films have been such a success and have insured the potential for the franchise to continue. i overheard some adults on the train the other day moaning about the movie toys, "my kid's really into them, but they're so complex and fiddly...not like the ones i had when i was young." that's what it's all about

The films are enjoyable. But personally, I don't think he has ever seen Transformers. There's a lot of things wrong with his movies. But don't get me started there. But I think the best part about the movies is the score. I really hope that Steve Jalbonsky comes back for more Transformers films <3
