Denton J. Tipton has been busy updating his blog, now with the coloured version of The Transformers Spotlight: Jazz. The penciled version that was originally done by E.J. Su. The colours are done by Priscilla Tramontano.

Spotlight: Jazz is coming out in March 2009 from IDW Publishing. The issue is written by Josh van Reyk & Shaun Knowler, with internal art by E.J. Su.

Denton J. Tipton has updated his blog with a list of new Transformers releases over the next month. You’ll notice that Stormbringer and Escalation (volumes 2 & 3) are being reprinted, which Denton confirms in his latest post, with this being the 4th time for Stormbringer. That book has a lot of love.

Bad news people, after two Beast Wars comics series and a set of sourcebooks, it seems we will not be getting any more for the foreseeable future. Editor Denton J. Tipton has posted the announcement on the IDW forums, but didn’t give a reason. Most likely it is due to the large number of comics planned for 2009, with lots Revenge of the Fallen comics coming.

I’m sorry to report that there are no Beast Wars minis planned for the near future.

At least this gives me time to complete my Beast Wars story.

Tomorrow sees the release of Transformers: The Reign of Starscream, the official sequel comic to the Transformers film, which also acts as a link to the Revenge of the Fallen prequel comics. IDW Editor Denton J. Tipton has kindly put up a preview of the book, with a look at the front and back cover, some sketches and some bios for a few of the characters.

Also on his blog is an updated schedule of IDW’s Transformers releases for the coming weeks. We already knew that All Hail Megatron #5 was coming next week, but we now know what is coming after it. Look out for Simon Furman;s next series, Maximum Dinobots and the first Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Prequel, Alliance.

After seeing a cover from E.J. Su earlier this week, we now have some confirmed details on what issue it is for.

Editor Denton J. Tipton has confirned that the cover is for The Transformers Spotlight: Jazz. E.J will be doing the art, but the writer hasn’t been revealed yet.

Denton J. Tipton has also updated his blog today, not with a post, but an update to this sidebar, which contains IDW’s Transformers comic schedule.

The only addition is that The Transformers: All Hail Megatron #5 will be coming out on 26th November, and given the quality shown so far, we recommend you pick it up.

IDW Editor Denton J. Tipton has updated his blog sidebar with new dates for Transformers comic releases for the next month. Included are the reprinting of Megatron Origin TPB and Transformers: Armada Vol 1, the edited TPB release of Transformers: The Reign of Starscream and confirmation of Spotlight: Blurr.

Surprising is that Transformers: Animated Vol. 5 is getting a second printing on 19th November, despite being released only on 22nd October.

IDW Editor Denton J. Tipton has posted an updated schedule for IDW’s Transformers comics. Unfortunately, there are no more releases in September after today, but October looks to be a busy month. The Revelation saga ends with Spotlight: Sideswipe, Art of Transformers gets a paperback release and Dreamwave’s first 4 profile books are re-released as More Than Meets the Eye Vol 1. TPB, hopefully with enough copies so that more than 10 people can own it.
