Auto Assembly recently saved the world from apocalypse by releasing it’s biggest ever news announcement. Unfortunately, long time TF.netter and AA Committee member Duh_Prez was unable to upload the announcement here, as he too was saving the world – from drowning in excess Peroni. What’s a guy to do when a stag night calls?
Anyway, here it is – the biggest Auto Assembly Announcement EVER. When you’ve watched it, you can discuss what this means for the future of transformers conventions in our Transformers Forum.
Following the huge success of the 2009 Script reading video, the folks at Auto Assembly have decided to release a high quality version of their epic 2010 script reading… and it’s online right now!
We’ve been working hard with our Youtube Channel over the last few weeks preparing lots of new videos for all of you including a lot of major news videos that we will be uploading over the next couple of weeks, but right now we’re pleased to announce the first in a series of uploads coming over the next couple of weeks featuring archive footage from the convention itself…
The first of these is online NOW and we are proud to announce the re-release of our first ever script reading from Auto Assembly 2009. Featuring a brand new 25 minute Beast Wars story written by man-of-the-moment Simon Furman, this was a fun script that played strictly for laughs and featured performances by our voice actor guests Gregg Berger and Ian James Corlett and comic artists Nick Roche and Simon Williams, supported by fans who auditioned for the remaining roles.
Previously uploaded to Youtube in three parts, it has now been remastered as a single part video and in High Definition, you can watch this much loved script as only our convention attendees were able to! You can see the full video on our channel here:-
The script readings have become an Auto Assembly tradition since 2009 and are a part of our Saturday night programme which is exclusive for those who attend the convention for the full weekend. In 2010, our script was again written for us by Simon Furman and featured Garry Chalk, Scott McNeil, Nick Roche and Simon Williams and will be available on Youtube in the next seven days so keep checking the channel to see what you have missed out.
If you are considering attending Auto Assembly 2011, this is a great way to get a teaser for what you can expect from our 2011 script! Again, Simon Furman is at the helm and David Kaye and Gregg Berger are both confirmed to take starring roles. Who else will be performing? You’ll have to come along to find out…!
More convention footage will be uploaded shortly including panels from Auto Assembly 2009 and 2010, and Garry Chalk’s acoustic concert from Auto Assembly 2010! We also have more massive announcements and news videos coming soon so keep an eye out for our next video shortly including our next guest update…
Tickets for Auto Assembly 2011 are available now from our website. Ticket prices are £50 for adults and £38 for children, students and senior citizens, with under 5s admitted free. One day tickets are available for the Saturday or Sunday (although these will NOT get you into the Friday or Saturday evening programmes) and these cost £30 for adults, £21 for children, students or senior citizens and under 5’s as always are free. Family tickets will be available shortly.
The convention is taking place over the weekend of 12th – 14th August 2011 at the Holiday Inn Birmingham City Centre, Birmingham, England. Tickets for Auto Assembly 2012 will go on sale later this year.
For more details on the convention, to see a full list of all the guests and activities taking place over the weekend, or to book your tickets, visit the website at www.autoassembly.org.uk
We’ve had another couple of quiet months publicly for Auto Assembly, but as ever, we’ve been working frantically to make 2011 our biggest ever convention and we’re ready to unveil our latest serious of announcements…
We’ve got loads of things to announce and update all of you with on Europe’s largest Transformers convention including an announcement on two more guests making an appearance this year, an update on a great panel that we’ll be organising and another update and surprise about Auto Assembly 2012…
Rather than tell you all here, you can see all of them announced here in our latest new video on our Youtube Channel here:-
And that’s not all… we’re having a bit of a video frenzy on Youtube this week! We’ve uploaded more footage from last year’s convention and for those of you who weren’t there, or if you want to see some of Saturday night’s programme, you can now see our Cosplay Competition in it’s entirety right here:-
We’re going to be uploading some more exclusive footage shortly including Garry Chalk’s concert and the latest of our superb script reading sessions featuring Garry Chalk, Scott McNeil and comic artist Nick Roche!
We’re doing a lot more work on the convention at the moment as well and our Committee Head Simon is making inroads into catching up on all the paperwork following all of the personal issues he has had to deal with over the last 8 months and as well as working on some great stuff for Auto Assembly 2011 that we’ll be announcing soon, we have some fantastic plans ahead for Auto Assembly 2012 and beyond and you can expect to hear more from us on these shortly…
You will have noticed that our website hasn’t been updated for some time and this has been a direct result of Simon’s personal circumstances, but the site has just undergone a major content update as well and you’ll find all the latest news and updates on the convention there, including our new promo poster / flyer which you can download.
Finally, if you have booked for Auto Assembly 2011 and still waiting for your confirmation emails, we are processing the final batch of these and they should be issued shortly. Please check your spam box as well as your inbox as we are aware that some mail addresses (most notably hotmail and yahoo) do have some problems receiving email from us.
We are also trying to finalise the despatching of the AA2010 Non-Attendee Packages. The delay of these has been frustrating for us this time around and has been out of our control. We are looking to see if we can include extra items for everyone who has placed orders for them, but it is our intention to ship these in the next 3-4 weeks at the latest.
Anyway, for those of you who want to attend Auto Assembly 2011, tickets are available now from our website.

We aren’t announcing either of them *just* yet although some of you may find out sooner than you think…

A reminder now for everyone thinking of attending Auto Assembly 2010 in Birmingham in the UK this weekend – if you want to attend, but have not brought your tickets yet, you have less than 48 hours left!
Wednesday the 11th of August, 12 noon is the cut off point – after this we will be offering on the door ticket sales, but on a strickly first come first served basis – don’t risk being turned away!
Head on over to the Auto Assembly 2010 homepage for more details on how to pre-register.
Please note that this close to the convention, your passes will not be sent out to you – instead you can collect them on the day. Details will be sent out with your confirmation email on how to do this.
With now just under 560 registered attendees, Auto Assembly 2010 has smashed its record from the past two years and maintains its place as Europe’s largest Transformers convention.
With only a week to go until Auto Assembly 2010, we’re now doing everything we can to make sure that no-one misses out on what is going to be the best Transformers event of the year for fans all across Europe…
For some time our one day passes for the Saturday have been sold out and all we have had left are full weekend tickets and one day passes for the Sunday. With the convention now only a week away, we are now in a position to take a closer look at our remaining tickets and revise how these are being allocated.
We are now converting all our remaining weekend passes into flexible tickets so we will be selling them in a number of ways. We will still sell most of them as weekend passes, but if someone wishes to buy a Saturday ticket then we will do this, and use the remaining “half” of the weekend pass to create an available Sunday ticket.
We have done this because we know that there are those of you out there who are only able to attend for a single day this year for one reason or another and for some of you, the only day you can make it is Saturday but until now with those tickets selling out you have missed your chance to attend this year.
You can find out more about this and our other latest news announcements including some incredible prize draws for our pre-registrants here:-
Full weekend tickets are £45 for adults and £35 for children, students and senior citizens, with under 5s admitted free. Family tickets (2 adults and 2 children) are available for £145. Single day passes for either day are £25 for adults, £18 for children, students or senior citizens and again under 5s are free. A family ticket for one day attendees is available for £80 for 2 adults and 2 children. You need to hurry though as tickets are selling fast!!
As long as we receive your bookings by Monday 9th August 2010, we can post your passes out to you for those of you who live in the UK. Anyone outside of the UK will need to collect their passes on arrival but we will give you information on how to do this. The FINAL deadline for booking is the morning of Wednesday 11th August 2010 and ALL bookings received by this date must be collected.
Spanning the weekend of Friday 13th – Sunday 15th August 2010 at the The Holiday Inn Birmingham City Centre, Birmingham, England, the convention is playing host to a staggering 14 guests including three guests of honour (Garry Chalk, Scott McNeil and Derrick J Wyatt), and will feature toy and art displays, dealers, comic guests, free autograph sessions, a video games area, free workshops run by many of our guests, dedicated childrens programming, video screenings and more! There will also be Friday and Saturday evening programmes, exclusive for weekend attendees and the Saturday evening will play host to a massive musical party, costume competition, our voice actors will take to the stage to perform a BRAND NEW script written by Simon Furman and the chance to win one of THIRTY sets of the Challenge At Cybertron sets donated by Hasbro… and we still have LOADS more to announce!
