We’ve received this press release from Sony Pictures about the DVD release of Transformers Beast Machines Season 1.

Transformers Beast Machines: Season 1
Available to buy on DVD
16th July 2007

To coincide with the theatrical, live-action release of Transformers Sony Pictures Home Entertainment presents the animated Transformers Beast Machines, available to own on DVD from 16th July 2007.

Transformers Beast Machines sees the innocent Maximals awaken on their home planet of Cybertron with no memory of how or why they are there. However, instead of being greeted by their own kind, the robotic creatures find themselves pitched in a life-or-death battle with the evil Veicons, ruthless and mindless creatures by the Decepticon Megatron. With a war now being waged, the Maximals must free Cybertron from Megatron and restore it to its former glory before all life is doomed.

Available in two single volume discs or as a complete season double-disc with all 13 episodes, Transformers Beast Machines follows the continuing story of the Transformers, with another race of robot creations battling against the evil Decepticons. With animals replacing the vehicular forms the Autobots take, Transformers Beast Machines takes the age-old battle to a new level.
