Exclusive news on the forthcoming Takara DVD releases.

Dear Transformersdvd.com member,
In our first newsletter for a while wed like to tell you about new developments in the Transformers DVD world and if you havent already visited, welcome you to the relaunched website. Weve got a newly created section with DVD message boards and downloads in an effort to create a more interactive forum. Also loads of news about the new forthcoming DVD releases and some pretty nifty exclusive free downloads.

Weve got a brand new version of Transformers The Movie – Reconstructed, out on Sept 5th and weve done what we think is a fine job of remastering the picture and adding a great batch of extras. To bring you absolutely the ultimate special edition, weve gone back to the negative and re-mastered the picture to reveal the entire original image the animators meant you to see; come and visit the new download section of the site and youll be able to compare quicktime movies and jpegs of the before and the after.

Also included on the Movie disc is the very first episode of the newly subtitled Takara Collection – Transformers Headmasters (with original Japanese audio and brand new English subtitles), and yes, were delighted to report that the original audio is a vast improvement on previously dubbed editions (not a darn in sight).

Were also pleased to announce brand new artwork from Andrew Wildman on the Headmasters front cover, available for perusal now in our download section, with other extras including a booklet and audio commentary on the first three episodes by a longstanding and, we think, very knowledegable fan, click through to the site to find out who ; )

Transformers Headmasters, the first release in our Takara Collection, will be out on Sept 26th

Weve also just added some brand new print quality re-drawings to the site from both the movie and Headmasters as free downloads (posted in the new download section).

The last thing to say is that if anyone is interested in buying bulk quantities of the movie or Headmasters at good discount rates, drop us a line at tradeorder@metrodomegroup.com

If you have any feedback on the new site, or have ideas for other things youd like to see then please drop by the message boards and post up your thoughts. Enjoy!
