Dan Collins sent is a message he received from Toon Zone stating that there’s going to be a two-disc, expanded DVD edition of Transformers The Movie. It is in development now, timed to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Transformers. A late 2004 Region 1 release date has been tentatively scheduled.
We don’t know anything about it or what it will contain, but we’ll endevour to find out.
This was just featured in the latest newsletter from Rhino. I guess this means there won’t be any Japanese series’ releases from them then, we’ll just have to wait and see what Metrodome do!
RETURN OF THE TRANSFORMERS

One of the most successful toy lines in history, Transformers have also proven very popular on television for the past two decades. And as the folks at Rhino Home Video have discovered, DVD buyers can’t get enough
of these robots, either. March brings the final episodes of the original animated series to digital disc in the form of a 3-DVD boxed set of the remaining shows from Season 3 and the complete Season 4. The new collection also includes a pair of collectible Transformers cells, behind-the-scenes interviews, and the feature-length program The Rebirth Trilogy.
And even though this is the last of the original series, don’t despair, Transformer fans numerous (and ongoing) spin-offs have proven as indestructible as Optimus Prime…
TvShowsOnDVD.com have contacted Rhino about their upcoming Beast Machines DVD (Region 1), due for release on 28th February. They have found out some info on the extras and why the widescreen masters were not being used on the DVD. Read the full article here.

TvShowsonDVD have received a note from Rhino, stating that the release date for their Transformers Armada Season 1 Part 2 DVD has been moved back to it’s original release date of 26th September.
Rhino have delayed the release date of Transformers Armada Season 1 Part 2 from 26th September to 3rd October. The set is being released in North America (Region 1).

TV Shows on DVD has got some more accurate details on the upcoming region 1 Beast Machines DVD. The 4 disk set is being released through Rhino Home Video and will contain interviews with key people from the series and a commentary on one episode, as well as all 26 episodes. Check here for more info.
