Play.com have posted the covers for the 1 and 2 disc editions of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen on DVD.
As we have already announced, the DVD and Blu-ray sets will be released on 30th November in the UK. No dates for other countries have been announced so far but expect them to all be before the UK.
These same covers will also be used for the North American DVD editions.
The first details on the DVD and Blu-ray release of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen have trickled out from Paramount Home Entertainment. Five different sets have been revealed for release on 30th November in the UK, so far.
There will be 3 DVD sets, a single disc package, probably with just the film, a 2 disc package, with all the special features, and a combo pack containing both films.
On blu-ray, there will be a 3 disc set, which will really be the one to get, as it will probably contain the most extra features, as well as the better visual and audio selection. The third disc is most likely a digital copy that studios like to include. Again, there will be a set containing both films.
Of course, this doesn’t include all the store exclusives or special variants that are common these days, so check back soon when we have confirmed details, including a look at the box art.

The French part of Blu-ray.com is listing Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (or The Revenge as in is called in France) to be released on Blu-ray on 24th October. Amazon.fr also have the same details on their site, which could lead this be quite accurate information. If true, the rest of the world should receive DVD/Blu-ray releases around the same time.

As Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen gets closer, more and more companies release lots of Transformers merchandise, even if it has nothing to do with the film.
Shout! Factory have today release Transformers: The Complete First Season 25th Anniversary Edition on DVD in North America. The 3 disc set contains all 16 episodes from the first season and some juicy extra features:

This side of the pond, Metrodome, who surprisingly still have the Transformers license, have re-released all 4 of their G1 boxsets, consisting of Season One, Season 2 Part 1, Season 2 Part 2, and Seasons 3 & 4. The only difference from the original releases is the cover art.
Paramount Home Entertainment have released 2 Transformer: Animated DVD packages in North America today.
Transformers: Animated Season Two contains all 13 episodes of the second season, with extra features consisting of 2 audio commentaries, photo gallery and 2 animated shorts. Transformers: Animated – Transform and Roll Out + Season One Combo is a combination of the animated movie special that kicked off the series and the first season, again consisting of 13 episodes.
The last Transformers DVD of the year is released today, and is a budget release from Paramount Home Entertainment.
Transformers: Animated Volume Two – Lost and Found is the second volume from the first season, again containing 4 episodes. The disc contains no extra features and is rated PG.

Paramount have continued the Transformers boxsets with the release of Transformers Energon The Ultimate Collection on DVD in North America.
The 4 disc set contains all 51 episodes (missing episode 33 – Scorponok’s Scars), is region 1 NTSC formatted and contais no extra features.
Paramount Home Entertainment have today released Transformers: Animated Volume 1 – Blast From The Past on DVD in the UK.
Unlike the USA edition, which contain all 13 episodes of the first season, Paramount have decided to only release 4 episodes on 1 disc to the UK audience, at an inflated price, and with no extra features.
Paramount Home Entertainment seem on a role today, with another DVD box set on the way. Transformers: Animated Season Two has been announced to come out on 6th January 2009, containing all 13 episodes from the 2nd season and a basic array of extra features. Unfortunately, the episodes will only be in the full frame aspect ratio.
Paramount Home Entertainment have today released Transformers: Animated – Transform and Roll Out on DVD in the UK. The 1 disc set contains the movie special, which runs for 68 minutes, with 2 animated shorts as extras, with English and German audio and subtitles. The disc is rated U.
