Transformers Still in Running for VFX Oscar

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has reduced the number of films from 15 to 7 in the category for Best Visual Effects at this years Oscars. The list will be reduced again to 3 official nominations on 22nd January with the winner being announced on 24th February.

The full list of films remaining are:

300
Evan Almighty
I Am Legend
Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End
The Bourne Ultimatum
The Golden Compass
Transformers

  1. I reckon it’s between Pirates 3, 300 and Transformers. Transformers should edge it though!
