In some good news for Paramount’s Home Entertainment department, Transformers has been revealed as the top selling DVD of 2007 in the USA. The disc sold 13.74 million copies in just under 3 months. It beat out Happy Feet, released early in the year, and Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End, released in December.

In the high-def formats, Transformers came third, primarily due to it being HD DVD exclusive. 300 on Blu-ray was the top seller with Planet Earth from the BBC second.
