For this weeks IDW Publishing releases comes two titles for Transformers fans. The first is Transformers Spotlight: Ramjet, the 10th in the Spotlight series. IDW have put up a 5 page preview of the issue with a cover gallery.
The second issue is Best of the UK: Dinobots Issue #3, the reprinted Marvel UK story.
Simon Furman has now completed the script for Transformers Spotlight: Arcee and has provided his thoughts on the issue via his blog. As with all script wraps, Simon tries to provide some interesting details without spoiling the issue but the occassional spoiler is still present.
Transformers Spotlight: Arcee, the 12th in the Spotlight series, is out in February 2008 fro IDW Publishing.
Actually there is only one release but an anticipated one none-the-less. The second of four Beast Wars Sourcebooks is let loose at retail with profiles covering all Beast Wars series.
IDW Publishing have put up a 5 page preview of the issue, and the cover art, to temp you into parting with your money.
IDW’s Art Du Jour page now features a page from The Transformers: Devastation #2, due out this week.

IDW Publishing have updated their website with their January 2008 solicitations. We reported this to you last week, but what’s new here is that the covers for The Transformers Spotlight: Blaster (the other one is here) Transformers: The Animated Series, Vol. 1 and Vol. 2, Devastation #5, Best of the UK: Dinobots #5, Classic Transformers, Vol. 1 TPB and the Target 2006 TPB are all now confirmed.
Expect more covers and details as we get nearer the release.
IDW Publishing have put up 5 page previews for this weeks releases. Transformers related, there are two titles, The Transformers: Devastation #2 and The Transformers: Best of the UK: Dinobots #3. Devastation #2 continues the main plot of IDW’s Transformers universe whilst Dinobots #3 is a reprint of the Marvel story from the 1980s.

You heard it here first. The second issue of volume 3 of IDW’s Transformers Spotlight series of character-led one-shots is… Spotlight Arcee! Yep, you heard that right. Transformers Spotlight Arcee. But hang onto your hats, this is Arcee like you’ve never seen, um, ‘her’ before. Forget pink and fiesty, this Arcee is mad, bad and dangerous to know! I’ll be doing a Script (W)rap for the issue in due course, but just to whet your appetite we’ll just say for now that a certain Jhiaxus has been ‘dabbling’ and Arcee is not happy about it one little bit. In fact, she’s pretty darn homicidal! For a taste of the goodness to come, here’s Alex Milne’s incredible cover art (he’s also doing the interiors AND the alternate cover!). IDW Publishing have released their January 2008 solicitations and with it come some interesting publications. 2008 marks the start of Transformers: Animated, Hasbro’s next line of toys, cartoon and now comics. IDW will be printing books to accompany the cartoon series with Transformers: The Animated Series, Vol. 1 and Vol. 2. There is also Spotlight: Blaster, Devastation #5, Best of the UK: Dinobots #5, Classic Transformers, Vol. 1 TPB and The Transformers: Target: 2006 TPB.

This Tuesday marks the release of Transformers on DVD in North America, and part of their promotions, Paramount have many exclusives available. Target stores will be packaging a new prequel comic from IDW Publishing, with a new and different story than the original IDW prequel released earlier this year.
For anyone who is unable to pick up this DVD version,Target have released the comic online in pdf format (Adobe Reader required).
The comic will also be available with the Play.com exclusive steelbook package in the UK.
