A few more bits of information about the UK Transformers comic have been revealed
A few titbits of interest. Andy Wildman and Nick Roche have joined the artist ranks.Also, the first free gift (if that’s your thang) will be TF dogtags – Autobot and Decepticon. FYI, first issue goes on sale 19th July.

A message left on the Transfans.net forums seems to indicate that a new UK Transformers comic is on the way. Here are a few of the details
Hi there. My name is Steve White. I’m going to be editing the new TF comic in the UK, due out from Titan in July to coincide with the movie release. We’re working pretty far ahead and what I was hoping for was readers letters/artwork that we can run in the first couple of issues, which will be wrapped before the first one actually hits the streets. The comic will be mostly movie continuity, serialising the IDW prequel material. However, we will be originating our 10-page strips, written by Si Furman. We have various artists lined up; first issue should see the return of Geoff Senior whose keen to have a go for old time’s sake. That’s TBC but looks pretty solid.
IDW Publishing have put up a 5 page preview of Transformers Escalation #5, due for release in the coming week. There are also scans of the 4 variant covers available wth this issue.
After rumours upon rumours, it has finally come true, Transformers and Avengers will be side by side in a new comic series from Marvel and IDW Publishing. The following is taken from the official announcement on IDW’s website

When we asked Don if he had any bonus materials for the Transformers The Animated Movie TPB, he said, “Here’s the script for the first three NEW scenes… it’s basically an explanation as to why the heavy hitters from season two of the cartoon were absent from the movie.” How sweet is that? (We think it’s pretty freakin’ sweet.) So all you TF fans can thank Don for creating this page we’re showing off today, and then be on the lookout for the rest of his new bonus material when the TPB drops in April!

You’ve probably read the many reviews that have been posted of the Movie Prequel #1, coming out later this month, and want to read it for yourself. Well Newsarama have a 5 page preview to look at until that day comes.
IDW Publishing have released a press release about their upcoming Transformers Spotlight Kup, coming this March. The comic marks the debut of Nick Roche, who will be writing for the first time.
In this Spotlight on the grizzled old TRANSFORMER, Kup finds himself stranded, facing shutdown, and fighting evil that just might be all in his mind… Roche also offers up what’s maybe the closest we’ll come to Transformers Zombies in the issue, too (which also features a variant cover by artist Alex Milne (artist on June’s TRANSFORMERS THE MOVIE ADAPTATION).
