TV Loonland, the rights holder to many of Hasbro’s cartoons from the 1980s, has released a press statement informing that they have sold back all rights to Hasbro for $7 million.

In 2000, TV Loonland bought Sunbow Productions from Sony BMG, and with it, all rights for their cartoons, specifically all 98 G1 episodes, Transformers The Movie, 115 Headmaster, Masterforce and Victory episodes and 52 G2 episodes.

With this news, expect some new DVD releases in the future.

Updated cover for Transformers: Animated DVD

Written by Big Bot on April 8, 2008 | Animated,DVD,News,Paramount |

About a month ago, an image was released that was apparently the cover art to Paramount Home Entertainment’s release of the first 3 episodes of Transformers: Animated, entitled “Transform and Roll out!”.

TVShowsonDVD have apparently now received an updated image, in a larger size. The DVD also has a new name Transformers: Animated – Transform And Roll Out, most likely in a bid not to confuse it with the 1986 animated movie or the 2007 live action movie.
