Paramount Home Entertainment have today released Transformers on DVD in Spain. As with other territories, there are multiple versions for you to choose from.
There is the regular single disc and 2 disc special edition, the 2 disc special edition in steelbook packaging with the IDW prequel comic and the HD DVD version with all the special features.
The discs come with English and Spanish audio and subtitles. The DVDs are Region 2 PAL encoded and the HD DVD version if region free.
Red Mill Snack Foods, famous for Transform-A-Snack, the snack that can be transformed into a moon buggy, are starting another promotion to coinside with the release of Transformers on DVD on 3rd December in the UK.
With the release is a competition where you can win a 32 inch plasma TV and DVD home cinema system, portable DVD players, copies of the Transformers DVD or mobile phone wallpapers and games.
Many of you will know Transform-A-Snack from Auto Assembly, where they were given out with the goodie bag.

More blogging from Simon Furman has revealed some good information on Haynes Publishing’s guide to the movie, entitled Top Trumps Transformers. The 192 page book features illustrations, profiles and detailed specs on all things Transformers movie related for only £4.99.

With little known about IDW’s 2008 Transformers line-up, apart from 5 more Spotlights, the continuation of Devastation and the sequel, Revelation, the unknown prospect continues with Shane McCarthy posting on his website that he is hard at work on a new Transformers project.
Shane is a freelance writer who has worked for DC and Dark Horse Comics, having contributed to some Batman comics. It isn’t clear if his project is a new series or part of IDW’s ongoing arcs.
Michael Bay is a tricky customer, keeping information close to his chest on Transformers 2, as he did with the original. But now he wants to send fans around in circles by releasing lots of false details to confuse and irritate fans some more. In a chat with Rotten Tomatoes, he reveals his plan:
“One thing I do know is I know how to screw them up more,” said Bay. “We’re going to leak a lot of false information all over the place. I now know their game. They’re going to get a lot of script treatments that they think are going to be the script. They will never see the script. We’ve got scripts and treatments written up that we’re going to leak. No one’s going to know.”
He also goes on to say he is already winning:
“There’s one out that’s fake right now. There are going to be many others.”
However Mr Bay, this little statement could just mean something official has been leaked and you’re trying to cover you tracks.
eBay sellers heerotoysmaker has posted lots of galleries of Transformers Animated toys. These provide more close up details on the toys, all in full colour, which include deluxe Optimus Prime, Voyager Bulkhead, deluxe Bumblebee, deluxe Prowl and deluxe Lockdown.

Variety have written an article about how films will be affected by the recent writers strike, with some new information about Transformers 2. It is mentioned that pre-production will start soon, with location scouting and advance VFX work.
The main problem comes if the strike does not end within the next couple of months. With the first mention that full production is due to start in June 2008, the film will ultimately be delayed if nothing is resolved.
Good news toy fans, Argos are having a sale on all toy brands and this includes Transformers. You will be able to get up to 1/3 off all Transformers toys listed online, including many Transformers movie items, like Nightwatch Optimus Prime which is exclusive to Argos in the UK.

UK developer Travellers Tales, who developed Transformers: The Game on Playstation 3, Xbox 360, PC, Wii and Playstation 2, and the highly successful Lego Star Wars games, have been bought by Warner Bros. Home Entertainment. This means that any future Transformers games planned by Activision, the publisher and rights holder to Transformers computer games, will have to have a new developer.
Titan’s Transformers UK #5 is out today at all good newsagents. This months issue focuses on Ironhide, the Autobots weapons specialist. There are also cameos from other Transformers and some more info on the Allspark.
