Don Murphy Update on the Movie
Quote from Don Murphy off his message boards
Michael Bays deal is still not closed despite what you might think, but Id make it 95% likely. Michael has a LINE producer partner (the guy responsible for making the film come in on time and on budget) named Ian Bryce- we have lunch hopefully on Tuesday when I will start to push for things like voice actors. Was supposed to be this week but his Father in law passed on. The script continues to be worked on.The website is gonna be up in just over a month COMICON will have a big presence for the film- Ill be there unless I am in London with COOL BREEZE with Michael Douglas so come say howdyTomorrow I have lunch with George Lazenby..should be weird, will let you know why once I can.
Thanks for listening, thanks for caring about Susan and I think this will be a big week for Transformers!!!
Best,
Don

Masterpiece Optimus Trailer
Today, I and many others received an email from Action-HQ for a limited number of “MP-01 20th Anniversary Optimus Prime Japanese version trailer” due for release at the end of March. This email was not the normal newsletter from AHQ and it revealed all the email addresses of the recipiants. Also there is an ebay auction for the trailer.
No trailer has been announced by Takara (or Hasbro),or consider this a rumour for now.
Alternator Windcharger in the UK!
Although the new Argos catalogue is not out until Saturday, thanks to info from loosecannon at TF@TheMoon, it’s confirmed that it will contain our third Alternator, who, in a strange twist of things, will be Windcharger, only just recently released in the US. As with previous Alternators, you can purchase him before the catalogue comes out if you know the number, and here it is 372/2220. I snagged him today myself, at £17.99 (two pounds cheaper than previous Alts).
Also, the Energon Optimus Prime vs. Megatron two-pack (containing the deluxe powerlinking Prime figure and the downsized Megatron) will be in the catalogue, priced £24.99. The number is 369/0967.
Have Dreamwave gone bust?
BWTF.com have posted the following
A rumor has surfaced from a source that Dreamwave Productions, publisher of the current Transformers comic books, has gone out of business. This is only rumor now pending official announcement.
We’ll have to wait and see if this is the end of The Transformers comic adventures.
Furman, Murphy And DeSanto Meet
Simon Furman seems to bee officially in on The Live Action TF Movie (or TLAFTM as I will now refer to it) after a successful meeting between producers Don Murphy, Tom DeSanto and Simon Furman. Details (although a bit scant) can be found at this post on the official Don Murphy forums. Care should be taken though.. as with most forums of this kind, some of the replies have absolutely nothing to do with Mr Murphy’s announcement.
