Local Report on Princeton Filming

Written by Big Bot on June 26, 2008 | News,Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen | Tags: ,

The Times has written an article on the filming of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen at Princeton campus, with some comments from Michael Bay. Shooting has apparently gone well over the first two days, and should finish today on the campus. Where the production will move next is currently unknown, but be sure to look out for information shortly.

Bay also revealed what the campus shoot was being used for in the film:

The university angle to the plot “is all about Sam growing up and going to college … a teenager growing into a man

The Return of Frenzy?

Written by Big Bot on | News,Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen | Tags: ,

A new video and photo seem to indicate the return of everyone’s annoying robot from the first film, Frenzy. The video shows him attacking the Saturn Astra, creating a hole in the windscreen. The car has some of human cast inside. A picture ( via TFW2005) gives a closer view of the robot on the car.

Of course, these raise more questions about the possible return of Frenzy, a different Frenzy, a Soundwave minion or a Michael Bay visual trick to fool us fans.

Day 2 Princeton Report

The Transformers Live Action Movie Blog have received another report from the Transformers 2 set at Princeton, with details on filming that took place on Day 2.

Most of the filming involved Shia, Megan, Isabel, Ramon and lots of extras running about the place with smoke added. Here is a short extract from the report:

Once the principals were done, the crew shot a group of about 20-30 student extras running into and out of the dorm’s western entryway (the same one that Shia, Megan, and Ramon had run out of). It was pretty funny to watch the extras run, because they were being funneled in and out of the doorway in a big circle, so the kids that had just run out of the building would circle around and run back in until the shot was over. In both cases the crew used a smoke machine in the dorm’s southwest hallway, which was visible from one of the windows.

The Transformers Live Action Movie Blog have received a sackful of photos from the filming of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen today at Princeton University.

The only vehicles on site were a set of Saturn Astras, one nice and clean, the other smashed slightly and Bay’s famous Baymobile, zipping around the set filming the action.

The cast on sit included Shia, Megan, Ramon, and Isabel, who are all expected back tomorrow for some more talky scenes.
