Hasbro have provided fans with a sneak peak of the first wave of their rebranded Universe line.
On the site, you’ll find unpainted photos of Transformers Universe Deluxe Sunstreaker, Prowl and Tankor and Ultra Powerglide and Onslaught with design notes from toys’ lead designer Bill Rawley and a release date (for the USA), of August 2008.
It has been rumoured that the UK will get them in May.
According to the listing on e-hobby for Transformers Encore Jazz, or Meister given the Japanese name, the figure will be released with a remolded head, but of who’s we are not sure.
The item is due out in March and is number 8 in the Encore line from Takara-Tomy.
On the back of the news yesterday that images of Transformers movie AllSpark Power Salvage and Stealth Bumblebee have appeared on ebay, Hasbro has sent TFW2005 official photos of the figures, in box, in robot mode and vehicle mode.
No official release date has been announced.
Another auction, another new photo of a toy we haven’t seen. This time, it’s Transformers movie Stealth Bumblebee in his packaging.
The item is also part of the Allspark Power line but, unlike Salvage, will feature a new head sculpt with a battle mask and also a new darker (stealthier) paint scheme.
A new auction on ebay shows off the first pictures of Transformers movie Salvage, a repaint of Dropkick, in-package. The item is again a Deluxe and is part of the Transformers movie AllSpark Power line.
Some new images of the packaging of Premium Series Megatron have appeared on ebay, with some showing a closer look at the packaging (the back mainly) as well as a close up of the figure itself.
Rumour had it that the figure would have a new head design, but as the photos show, this isn’t the case. The figure is due for release in North America very soon.
The Nordic TransFans Association has posted news from Hasbro Nordic about the release of Transformers Animated and Universe toys. They have announced that the first wave is due for release in all Scandanavian countries on 1st August, 3 months after the UK.
There are no specific details on which toys will be released first.
The Transformers Collectors Club released details of the first wave of the new Transformers Universe Line, also known as the Classics 2.0 line by fans.
In the Deluxe class is Prowl, Tankor and Sunstreaker with Onslaught and Powerglide in the Ultra Class. These are rumoured to be released in the UK in May.

According to TFW2005 member Locustreign, who has provided a sceenshot of the spreadsheet he received, Hasbro are planning on releasing the Transformers; Animated toys on 4th April in the UK. This includes the first wave of Animated Deluxe, Voyagers and the 2-pack, which comes with a DVD.
There is also some more interesting news, with there being a listing for Leader class Megatron and Bulkhead. Neither of these have been seen or mentioned before, so look out for more information on these soon.
Transformers Universe, which comprises the second wave of Classics toys, is also coming to the UK, with some deluxes are due to be released on 9th May. Ultras and Voyagers have no specific release date at this time.
ebay seller tfctoy has posted a picture of Transformers movie Premium Series Leader Megatron in box. The figure is in a new paint scheme that is actually very similar to the original version, so many of you will probably skip this when it is released in a few weeks.
