Cybertron Philippines have been given a slightly altered version of the new Transformers movie trailer released today with some new footage and some cut bits. There is also a slight voice over in the middle and a short scene after the credits.

Paramount UK have announced their plans on promoting the Transformers movie in the UK. Expect the “protect” and “destroy” posters now or very soon, TV spots from mid July and the new trailer shown today in cinemas, and lots of interviews and advertisements in magazines.

Michaelbay.com have provide the first look at the new Transformers Movie TV spot. The 30 second clip shows some more footage of the film and is meant for North American audiences.
Time to give up hope UK Transformers fans. Paramount have done what Hasbro have beening doing with their toy releases for the past 10 years, making the UK wait. Paramount UK have confirmed that the UK release of the Transformers Movie is still going to be on 27th July and not the 29th June as we all hoped. This means the film will be released on the same day as The Simpsons Movie.
Paramount UK had this to say
The UK release is 100% July 27th, 2007. It�s a very wide release.”
We’re guessing wide release means “it’ll be in lots of cinemas”.

As we all knew, with the Transformers Movie set to take the world by storm (hopefully), companies would want to sell lots of Transformers merchandise to everyone. IDW Publishing are planning to sell Tranformers Movie related comics but also continue their G1 universe with Megatron Origin, Devastation, Spotlights Galvatron and Optimus Prime and produce a new series of Beast Wars.
Well, Editor-in-Chief Chris Ryall has decided to provide lots of information on these titles and more with an update of IDW’s forum. Here is the Movie related bit
“First, the movie projects. They’re done (finally!) and about to come out. The Prequel TPB and the Movie Adaptation TPB are going to be pretty prevalent, since there will be copies sold outside of just the direct comic book market. You’ll be able to find copies at Target (including an exclusive Target edition of the Prequel with a lenticular cover), J.C. Penny, and some other places. There will be a videogame booklet-sized copy of Prequel #1 in the Activision videogame. A special something in the Bumblebee Unleashed toy (cover art by Klaus Scherwinski). There are special plans being made for the eventual DVD release (one written by me and art by Andrew, among other things) and even the movie soundtrack CD (not finalized just yet). And there will even be an exclusive, all-new 10-page comic (by Simon, me, and Andrew Wildman, with a new cover by Don and Josh) given out at a particular theater chain (courtesy of Target, too). Details on which theater to come, but that will be the only place that comic will be found (other than eBay). There will be 1.5 million copies of these given out. So there will be an amazing amount of Transformers movie comics out in the world as of June 5 and beyond. We’ll talk formally about all these plans soon, but there’s the advance word on what’s been going on. Somehow, Simon and I will have more comics in circulation than anyone else has had in years…”

A new ebay auction from seller spx_toys has revealed more images of Fast Action Blaster Frenzy, based on the Transformers Movie design. There are 2 large images of the figure in robot and alt modes.
The first Transformers Movie based toys from Hasbro have been sighted in the UK.
Transformers Movie Protoform Optimus Prime and Protoform Starscream have been spotted by forum members neuronutter and Royal Prime in Toys R Us stores in Cardiff and Reading.
The Toys R Us website also has a list for these 2 figures, but are currently listed as “out of stock”. Epxect them to be available within the next 2 weeks.
Michael Bay’s official blog has been updated, this time with high resolution images of the Transformers from the upcoming Movie.
Of course, if you look at the images, you will be spoiled, so only look if you don’t care.
