After having witnessed the success of James Cameron’s Avatar, it is perhaps no surprise that Michael Bay, director of Transformers and Transformers 2 Revenge of the Fallen, is considering a third movie in 3D.
According to reports, Bay is conducting tests into 3D technology to see how the Autobots and Decepticons look. Bay stated in an interview with MTV:
It’s a process we’re testing with some ‘Transformers’ scenes,” he said. “How successful it is with my movie in terms of a lot of real stuff coming out of the frame, real dirt, real complicated little particles coming towards the lens, because hopefully that process will work. I’ve seen some tests that look great on other movies. I just want to see how it looks on my footage.
Bay also said that a lot of new characters will appear in Transformers 3, though whether that means the Dinobots or not is another question. As far as locations go, Moscow and Chicago have been revealed as central locations for action sequences.

Looks like I’ll be giving this a miss then. The loathing I have for 3D knows no bounds.
And there was me thinking Bay couldn’t do anything dumber than the Twins… That’ll teach me to underestimate the stupidity/greed of people.

Everyone is jumping on the 3D bandwagon. No problem, I kinda like it.

F**k Michael Bay.
Like all the weak directors, they prey on the weakest in the society and make them “heroes”.
-taking stereotypes like this onto the screen shows how mr bay and his crew has no other option but write about people with psychological issues. And dare call it OK.
I get sick to my stomack. Michael Bay used to be great, now he is just a director making a film almost any experienced director could do better than him. Why is the story lame with idiot dialouge, well I don`t know. But the psychoses staging of the main character don`t make up for it, and it don`t get intelligent. On any level.

3D would be awesome, if we didn`t have to wear glasses at the cimena. It`s only funny one time.
I hope the ending is better in TF3.
If you think about the ending in ROTF, all the transformers scenes were just a trip.
his girlfriend was a trip, and everything else was a trip. In a great story, the character returns with the friends and do not end up sitting alone getting mocked again by the dean.
ROTF had so many unfinished stories and characters going nowhere, making it a 5 minutes greatest movie of all times. Bay should have that. Some of the scenes are outstanding. But the film is rushed into and alot of the details are poorly done.
We hope for a better one the next time. Maybe go to the michaelbay.com page for forum comments, and let him know what you think about it.
the nines, stf, click, ROTF, donnie darko, …… Psychoses are not solved, and making movies about them is not fair, specially if you yourself have no first hand experience having them.
