Two of the main stars from the third instalment of the Transformers movie franchise, Transformers Dark of the Moon, are due to give out a gong at the MTV movie awards in June.
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and her Transformers Dark of the Moon co-star Shia LaBeouf are both going to present an award at the star studded event that takes place on the 5th June at the Gibson Amphitheatre in California. Among the other famous faces that are set to appear include Cameron Diaz, Josh Duhamel (also from Transformers), Patrick Dempsey, Emma Stone, Nicki Minaj and Selena Gomez, commented MTV News.
The films that many people are expecting to do well, and have the most nominations, are The Twilight saga – leading the way with 8 nominations, followed by the hugely successful Inception, starring Leonardo Di’ Caprio, which had a total of 7 nominations. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 had 6 nominations. The final part of the Harry potter Franchise, Deathly Hallows Part 2, is due to be released in cinemas this summer on the 15th July. Two weeks after the Transformer film hits the box office.
The prestigious job of hosting the awards has fallen to actor on Saturday Night Live and comedian Jason Sudeikis, who said:
“I’m sincerely flattered that the folks from the Mostly Teenage Viewers network have invited me to host this year, and I look forward to keeping the streak of flawless and critically lauded movie awards show hosting in 2011 alive.”
