Cartoon Network seem to be slowly building up the hype on Transformers Animated. The 26th December special feature premier is now being promoted with commercials. The first one is now on Youtube for all of you like us who don’t live in the USA:
Now for something different and completely unexpected. Hasbro have set up a new site with a movie promoting the Transformers movie Optimus Prime Voice Changer Helmet.
The film features a kid named Sam being Optimus Prime for the day by using the voice changer helmet. The film can be via the YouTube link or on the actual site at www.transformersviral.co.uk.
OK, I’m not sure what to write here as there is very little to write about. IDW Publishing Editor-in-Chief Chris Ryall has posted a thread on the IDW boards with the subject title “1” and a poster with the Decepticon logo and the words “Swear Allegiance” underneath.
All we know is that the movie Decepticon logo is being used
The second set of 20 questions have been sent to Simon Furman, and he has answered them, providing some spoilers, but also some teasers for future comics. The first 15 have been placed on IDW’s forums, whilst the last 5 can be found on Simon’s own blog.
More Transformers comics have been released today from IDW Publishing. Continuing the 4 issue saga, Beast Wars: The Ascending Issue #3 is out, along with three books with reprinted material; Transformers Magazine Issue #4, Best of UK: Dinobots Issue #4 (from the Marvel UK catalogue), and the Megatron Origin TPB, which series as an origin story for IDW’s G1 universe.
With the apparent success of Transformers The Ark earlier this year, IDW Publishing are planning on a second volume with more original character models from the TV show and comics.
The collection will contain over 200 pages with stuff from Headmasters, Masterforce, Victory, Zone, Studio Ox designs, advertisements and much more. The book is due in the summer of 2008, but IDW want your suggestions for what you would like to see.
Hopefully the success of this book will lead to similar projects involving other Transformers series.
Comics News International have posted the first pages from IDW Publishing’s Transformers Animated comic series. The first issue, Transformers: Animated Vol. 1, is due out in January 2008 and is an adaptation of the 70 minute movie. The comic is made using screen captures from the actual cartoon and the script.
