The Transformers Casting Info

Written by Big Bot on April 21, 2006 | News,Transformers movie (2007) | Tags:

IGN FilmForce has an exclusive revealing of  the casting for many of the human roles in The Transformers. Jon Voight is thought to play Keller, Michael Clarke Duncan as Figueroa, Josh Duhamel as Lennox, Bernie Mac as Bobby Bolivia, Tyrese as Epps, John Turturro as Simmons, Rachael Taylor as Maggie, Megan Fox as Mikaela, Travis Van Winkle as Trent, and John Robinson as Miles.

All the names in italics, are not the real names of characters but but have been used to keep the film under-wraps. For example, Shia LaBeof is playing Spike Witwicky, not Sam!
Also for now, this should all be taken as a rumour as all the information came from many unnamed sources.

The Transformers movie update

Chad Sterling Frey has joined the Art Department of The Transformers movie, according to his website

I have joined the Art Department of DreamWorks latest project directed by Michael Bay and Production Designed by Jeff Mann. A live action adventure based on the Hasbro toys of our youth, “Transformers” is the story of the war between the good-guy Autobots and the evil Decepticons; each are a race of machines who change form from known Earth objects (a car for example) into a more humanoid battle robot form.  Heavy on visual effects and high on set and location count “Transformers” starts principle photography this summer.

Dark Horizons have revealed one of the locations for the movie:

Holloman Air Force Base in Alamogordo, New Mexico (right near ‘White Sands’) looks to be a major location for the upcoming film.

TF The Complete Collection DVD & Japanese DVD News

Written by Big Bot on | DVD,Metrodome,News,Transformers The Movie (1986) |

Metrodome are planning on releasing all 98 episodes of The Transformers and TFTM Reconstructed in one box set. This set will be exactly the same as the 4 seasonal boxsets and Reconstructed DVD. The only difference is that it will come with a double-sided movie poster featuring the UK and USA artwork. Play.com are listing it for £74.99, due for release on 4th September.

So, if you’ve never bothered picking up any of the sets, here’s your chance to get them in one go. However, you can probably pick up the individual seasons and TFTM for a cheaper overall price.

For all of you who are interested in the Japanese series, Super-God Masterforce is now due for release on 29th May and Victory has a release of 3rd July, but this is likely to change. The set is also probably a 4 disk set with only 32 episodes, according to Chris McFeely.

The “Where to buy” page has also been refurbished, but the link to hasbrotoyshop.com isn’t very useful. The site only ships to the USA and so is no use to people in the UK.
