Hasbro confirms Animated toys released in Cincinnati
There have been lots of sightings of Transformers: Animated toys in the USA and now Hasbro have confirmed that Cincinnati Ohio has been selected as the primary area for the toys first release due to BotCon 2008 later this month.
Look out for them in Wal-Mart, Toys R Us, and K-Mart stores.
Inked All Hail Megatron #2 cover
Shane McCarthy, writer of the upcoming All Hail Megatron series, has posted the inked cover for issue #2. Earlier this week, the pencil sketch of this cover was posted, drawn by Guido Guidi.
Transformers: All Hail Megatron issue #2 is due for relesase in August.
Animated Blitzwing fully revealed
A new auction on ebay has shown some more detail on the Transformers: Animated Blitzwing figure. The pictures shows both robot and jet modes, as well as close-ups of all 3 faces.
First cover for IDW’s Animated mini-series
With the highly successful Transformers: Animated cartoon entering its second season, IDW plan on expanding the universe with their own original comic book mini-series.
The series is different to the current Animated books, which simply reprint the stories from the cartoon, and will tell new stories around the cartoon. The comic is written by Mart Isenberg, story editor for the cartoon.
IDW Publishing editor Denton Tipton has posted the cover art for the first issue on his blog, and it looks very similar to the cartoon.
Spotlight: Hardhead & Doubledealer Sketches
Chris Ryall has posted some new art on his blog for Transformers Spotlight: Hardhead and Spotlight: Doubledealer. The pencil sketches, by Nick Roche and Dan Khanna, show some good detail on what’s to come in the Revelations saga.
Play.com preorders for Transformers: Animated
UK retailer Play.com have put up preorders for the first wave of the Transformers: Animated figures. The figures are listed for release in June, July and August.

A fan-made Q & A on IDW’s forums has revealed some interesting news on IDW’s plans for their Transformers comics, including All Hail Megatron, Revelation, The 13, Evolutions and more. There are originally 25 questions, but there are some more in the thread.
There is also some news that Hasbro have big plans for The Transformers 25th Anniverary next year
First BotCon 2008 Megatron pictures
ACtoys.net have posted the first images of the BotCon 2008 Megatron figure. The figure is a repaint of Energon Megatron in an Autobot style colouring.
The figure will be available at the convention in just over a week and then on ebay 5 minutes later at an inflated price.
Transformers: Animated episode listings for May
Comics Continuum have posted a list of episodes and dates for new Transformers: Animated episodes on Cartoon Network for May. They have proved to be entirely accurate for March and April, so take these dates as very reliable.
