About a month ago, an image was released that was apparently the cover art to Paramount Home Entertainment’s release of the first 3 episodes of Transformers: Animated, entitled “Transform and Roll out!”.
TVShowsonDVD have apparently now received an updated image, in a larger size. The DVD also has a new name Transformers: Animated – Transform And Roll Out, most likely in a bid not to confuse it with the 1986 animated movie or the 2007 live action movie.
IDW Publishing Editor Denton J. Tipton has posted the first piece of art from Transformers Spotlight: Hardhead. The issue is due for release in July and is the second part of the Revelation arc, following on from Spotlight: Cyclonus in June.
The art is by Nick Roche, and not Robby Musso as has been previously stated, with writing by Simon Furman.
Having already had Sky Lynx and the upcoming Omega Supreme in the Encore line, TakaraTomy have continued their rare Transformers g1 reissues with Encore #11 and #12.
Encore #11 will be a double collection containing both Skywarp and Thundercracker, both of which use the same mold but have different colour schemes.They will be out in August 2008 for $69.99 a
Encore #12 will be another rare G1 figure, Metroplex. The 1986 figure will cost slightly more at $84.99 and will arrive a month later in September 2008 release.
After months of wondering exactly Transformers: Focus on Decepticons was, we finally have a better idea, with Chris Ryall posting some details, and a preview page, on his blog. There is also the cover for the issue.
The issue is a preview book, with an 8 page preview of issue 1 of the Transformers All Hail Megatron series, which starts in July. Luckily, Chris has also posted a 1 page preview, featuring some characters who haven’t appeared in this continuity yet, so spoilers are coming.
ivlife is reporting that the Imperial County Film Commission is currently bidding to bring the Transformers 2 production to the Imperial Valley in California. California is a an area that Michael Bay likes to shoot in.
There is also a mention that shooting would start in the “fall”, better known as the autumn.
Amazon Japan have received official pictures from TakaraTomy for the Japanese release of MA-21 Optimus Prime Battle Mode.
The figure is the equivalent of Hasbro’s Transformers Movie Premium Series Optimus Prime, but with a more movie accurate colour scheme.
Artist Marcelo Matere, who has worked on some of IDW’s Transformers comics, has also provided the box art for the Transformers Universe line from Hasbro. The line will launch this summer, and is also known as Classics 2.0.
Four characters are featured in the gallery, and they are Powerglide, Tankor, Prowl and Sunstreaker

Today, Cartoon Network and YTV will air the final episode of the first season of Transformers: Animated. The episode, titled Megatron Rising Part Two, follows on from last weeks episode, with Megatron ready to conquer Earth with his new body.

Chris Ryall has posted some line art from Transformers Spotlight: Wheelie. Drawn by Klaus Scherwinski, better known for his great colouring, it shows some sort of action scene with a small Wheelie struggling in typical fashion.
