Animated Toys Released on 25th March in USA
Many USA based fans are reporting that Hasbro’s official chop, Hasbrotoyshop.com, have sent out their latest catalog recently.To many fans surprise, wave one of Hasbro’s 2008 line, Transformers: Animated,is now available for pre-order.
Wave one consists of Deluxes Bumblebee, Cybertron Mode Optimus Prime, Lockdown and Prowl and Voyagers Cybertron Mode Megatron and Starscream. Deluxes will cost $9.99 with Voyagers at $19.99.
Many US based websites are reporting that they will be released on 25th March.
Animated Optimus Prime and Megatron Happy Meal Toys
A poster on ACToys has provided the first images of the Transformers Animated Happy Meal Optimus Prime and Megatron toys. No official release date has been confirmed but they will be available in McDonald’s and are made by Hasbro.
The toys are simplified version of the proper Hasbro versions and feature full transformations.
Official Nick.co.uk Site for Transformers: Animated
To help promote the start of Transformers: Animated in the UK, Nick.co.uk have put up their own Transformers: Animated website. There isn’t much up right now, expect a few character profiles, some downloads and a video clip telling you that the series is on Nicktoons.
As with their main site, it takes a while to load and if you have a slow computer, beware of the flash animations.
First Details of Transformers: Victory DVD from Madman
Madman Entertainment have put up a listing for Transformers: Victory, the last Generation One cartoon series, on DVD. The 4 disc set will arrive in Australia on 14th May with a unique set of extra features.
There will be 32 episodes with the original Japanese audio and English subtitles. Like the Super-God Masterforce set from Madman, there will probably only be the English audio on certain episodes. There is also the bonus that Transformers Zone will be included, which Metrodome didn’t include in the UK.

Simon Furman on Spotlight: Wheelie
With Transformers Spotlight: Wheelie being confirmed for a June 2008 release, everybody is asking the question: “Will he be as annoying as before?”. Writer for the issue Simon Furman with a post on his blog titled “SCRIPT (W)RAP, ARTIST OVERLAP”, which has probably scared most people away.
The most interesting thing in the post is that there will be an explanation to why he rhymes and a big teaser for the stories coming in 2009.
IDW Publishing June 08 Transformers Comics
IDW Publishing have released their comic solicitations for June 2008 and with it comes lots of Transformers titles, new and old.
After the announcements this week about Transformers Revelations, comes the confirmation that Transformers Spotlight: Cyclonus is coming. The title is likely to change to include the “Revelations” title. Also being released in the IDW G1 universe is Transformers Spotlight: Wheelie, the 15th Spotlight issue. The cover also features another character, so beware of spoilers.
Next are two Transformers movie titles, Transformers Movie Sequel: The Reign of Starscream #3, continuing the official comic book sequel to the movie and Transformers Movie Prequel Special, which collectors together the Theatre exclusive comic that was sponsored by Target and the DVD exclusive comic that was available at Target, Play.com and in some other countries.
There is also some more reprinted Marvel material, Transformers Best of the UK: Space Pirates #4 and 3 different Art of books.

Animated episode “Headmaster” Airs Today
There’s a new Transformers: Animated episode airing today in the USA and Canada. The episode, “Headmaster”, is the 10th or 13th episode depending on whether you count the movie as 3 episodes or a special pilot.
As usual, it airs at 10:30am EST in the USA on Cartoon Network and 11:00am in Canada on YTV.

Currently airing on the Canadian channel YTV, we have a new commercial that shows off more footage of Sentinel Prime and Ultra Magnus as well as the first appearances of Jazz and Wreck-Gar from future episodes of Transformers: Animated.
The clip is 30 seconds long and should get fans excited about the next four episodes which make up the end of the first series.
“Gone too Far” Text Story at Transformers Collector’s Club
The members only section of the official Transformers Collector’s Club website has been updated with the Transformers Timelines text story, “Gone Too Far”.
The story follows Jackpot and Hubcap on Axiom Nexus in one of their adventures. I won’t spoil it for you but the word Transtech is involved.
The story is written by Greg Sepelak and Trent Troop, with illustrations by Evan Gauntt.
